Jews believe in the Bible. that means the one given by G-d to Moses roughly 3300 years ago.
Religious Jews still practice the guidelines conveyed by G-d to Moses whether is was written down or orally discussed.
The Bible does say that G-d chose the Jews to be 'a nation unto me' meaning Jews have to practice the Torah laws to the fullest extent possible. It does not mean that people who are non practicing are any less human that Jews, its just means that they don't have to. (see noahide laws)
Regarding the messiah, as everything else there are instructions regarding the messiah. the 2 basic rules are
1 He will be a practicing Jew and a Torah scholar
2 He will not institute great changes in the law but rather promote it and a harmonious way of of life as is frequently quoted 'they will beat their swords into plowshares'
Jesus may have been a scholar and a practicing Jew, but the fact that there are still wars, some even promoted by the Church, indicates to Jews that Jesus could not have been the Messiah.

1 No Jews believe in Jesus as the messiah, all Jews believe in the coming of a messiah.

2 Both. Jews from Jerusalem, Jews who are followers of Judaism.

1. Jews do not believe that Jesus (or anyone else so far) was the messiah. However, Orthodox Jews believe that there will be a Messiah in the future - but not that he will be "the son of God" or that he will die and rise again.

2. Hard to say, definitions vary. I would say that "Judaism" is a religion, but "Jewishness" is an ethnicity rather than a race. I am ethnically/culturally Jewish, but do not follow the religion.

The Jews will only accept a messiah, if that messiah only recognises their faith as being the correct one (A form of Religious Racism/Master Racism).

The Jews believe themselves to be the Master Race (Chosen by GOD) - And they wonder why they have had so many problems over the years - Sheesh!

1) Jews believe that the mashiach (messiah) is still to come and we reject Jesus as messiah since he failed to do anything that the messiah is meant to do
2) Judaism is a religion. There are white, black, Indian, Chinese, Japanese etc Jews. On top of that you can convert to become Jewish but you cannot convert to race!
