God is a moral God. He couldn't deny free will to a reasoning creature. He didn't want us to eat of the Tree of Knowledge and know good and evil. I guess it was because He knew we couldn't resist in these earthly, fleshly bodies. Mankind decided to do what it wanted instead of following God's will. Pride. Thus, to do what is not of God leads to sin and there is a spiritual law and punishment for this violation. We were condemned to death. But, God loves us and didn't want His crowning act of creation to be separated from Him for eternity so He came to earth as a man and died for mankind's sins and took their punishment so we could live. We just have to believe that He did it and give Him our allegiance and/or loyalty for doing so-faith.

Sins are not a creation of God, but of man. Sins are OUR wrongdoing. Sins are when we make moral mistakes. Like telling lies or some such. There is no point to sinning but we do it anyway, aye?
