First ask yourself why you want to make the world a better place. Is it so others can have a better place or is it because you want a better place? Or perhaps it just makes you feel good inside to say those things. Motives matter. All self centered motives of self gain or self praise will eventually end badly. We should all examine ourselves first before we charge out into the world.

If your asking about your purpose then I say Yahoo answers is not the place to find it. The answer is for you to explore within yourself and the answer varies from person to person. There are many ways to contribute to making the world a better place and they all count. I personally do so by trying to treat other people with dignity and respect for how they wish to be treated. I work at a career that studies the environment and try to make choices that minimize negative impacts on our planet. I volunteer to teach people reading and writing skills so that they can better their lives. I also try to make my family and home as happy and healthy as I can. These are my small contributions that for me give my life meaning and purpose. Others may be different. For some people it is just to be and let be or work on getting themselves to a healthy place. As I said depends on the person and where they are in life. So go find yours and good luck. Discovering this for yourself is one of life's adventures.

We're not created, we evolved, and the best thing to do is to be decent to other people and encourage other people to do the same.
