Honestly why did you ask him in the first place?.......Obviously you were looking for some reasurrance.
Would you have believed him if he had said 10?
The truth is that either way your boyfriend should either have given you a 10 or just not answered the question.
The real question here is "Do you think you're a 10?".....
Because at the end of the day, it's how you see yourself that's important. Maybe the reason it has upset you so much is that you don't believe you're a ten and wanted him to make you feel more confident. It's not really about what he thinks, It's about what you think of yourself.
Work on your confidence.

Well he has some learning to do about girls if he can't give you a 10. You may not look like a super model but a boyfriend should be telling you he thinks you are the hottest thing to him. If he doesn't think that then maybe he is not fully attracted to you. I wouldn't worry about it too much guys sometimes give the wrong answers. I would just down play his inexperience by joking around with him telling him you think he is 6 that should put him in his place!

What is rating all about?? Is he rating your looks, your overall self, your personality? We can't all be 10's but i'll tell you one thing. If I were you, I would tell him that even if I am a 7 to the world, I had better be a 10 in you eyes, or I am with the wrong guy.

If I had a low enough self-esteem to ask that question I would be annoyed if my boyf said 10. Personally I would think he wasnt taking me seriously. I know I'm not perfect but if I asked that question it's because I want a confidence boost. I'd prefer an honest answer..but I would expect a little bit of generosity too. 7 is probably a bit low.

I think that you shouldn't be insecure about your looks if thats what he was rating you on, its not a fair question to ask someone who's dating you. The other thing is he's with you for a reason, and seven isn't bad at all.. be worried if it was a 1

He is probably just young and does not know that he should have said 10 no matter how he really feels. But yes it is a bit rude and for sure a dumb question to ask. You should have a great opinion of yourself or no one else will. I'd just shut up about it now and forget about it. Just make sure he treats you good from here on out and next time he says something not wonderful about you, challenge him. Good luck

He is what we call an a**hole. I have been asked by girls that I have liked what I thought and I gave them a 9-9.5 because well hey no one's perfect. My ex who I think is the closest thing to perfection I may not give her a 10 but hell it would be nothing lower than a 9.5. I would even tell her she is a 10 but porbably say 11 or more.

Give him credit for being truthful.
I told my girlfriend once to rate me and she said seven too!
I was suprised at first but got over it.
If you disagree then rate him a 0 for not rating you a ten. He should have given you the answer that would make you most happy anyway.

I would be offended too, but at least you know he is honest. So if you ever say "do I look good in this" you know he is telling the truth" Ask him who would he consider to be a 10. Some people judge so hard , that there is no ten.
