God is the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. The Father is the creator, the giver of life. The Son is Jesus Christ, our redeemer, the one who gave his life so that we might be able to join God forever in eternity. The Son showed us what love is, and offers us his mercy and forgiveness. He teaches us what it is that the Father desires from us, and gives us the strength to carry it out. The Son is the eternal word of the Father, come down to earth and made man so that he can be the perfect mediator between us and the Father. The Spirt is the advocate and counselor. The Spirit teaches us, guides us, and communicates the love of God to our hearts. The Spirit is the expression of the love that is shared between the Father and the Son, and brings us the power and holiness of God.

Indeed God does have a name. It is Jehovah. Psalms 83:18 says "That people may know your name is Jehovah, You alone are the Most High over all the earth. His most dominant quality is love. In fact 1 John 4:8 says that "God is love". His love is expressed in John 3:16 where it says "For God loved the world so much that he gave his only begotten Son, in order that everyone excercising faith in him might not be destroyed but have everlasting life". 17" For God sent forth his Son into the world, not for him to judge the world, but for the world to be saved through him". He is known to have three other qualities. These are wisdom, justice and power.

Psalm 83:18 shows that the Almighty and true God's personal name is Jehovah...
He is most of all LOVE...and with that stems just, merciful(forgiving), kindness, patient, holy, pure, clean, creative(He is our Creator), powerful, gracious, happy, loayl, true....there is so much more to say and also neverending...but Jehovah is a great and wonderful(1 John 4:8,16;Exodus 34:6; 2 Peter 3:9; Revelation 15:3,4; Revelation 4:11; Psalms 86:5)....and it is such a privilege to get to know him through studying the Bible and worship Him...

"And Jehovah went passing by before his face and declaring: “Jehovah, Jehovah, a God merciful and gracious, slow to anger and abundant in loving-kindness and truth, preserving loving-kindness for thousands, pardoning error and transgression and sin, but by no means will he give exemption from punishment" -Exodus 34:6, 7
"That men may know that thou, whose name alone is JEHOVAH, art the most high over all the earth." -Psalm 83:18 King James Version; American Standard Version
God's foremost quality is love (1 John 4:8). All that God does is motivated by love (John 3:16). His three other main attributes are wisdom, justice, and power (Romans 11:33; Deuteronomy 32:4; Psalm 62:11).

"Allah! None has the right to be worshipped but He, the Ever Living, the One Who sustains and protects all that exists. Neither slumber nor sleep overtakes Him. To Him belongs whatever is in the heavens and whatever is on the earth. Who is he that can intercede with Him except with His permission? He know what happens to them (His creatures) in this world, and what will happen to them in the Hereafter. and they will never compass anything of His Knowledge except that which He wills. His Kursi extends over the heavens and the earth, and He feels no fatigue in guarding and preserving them. And He is the Most High, the Most Great."
Surah Al-Baqarah Ayat Al-Kursi (v.255)

It isn't easy or really even appropriate to try to define a being that is several orders of magnitude above you on your own level...
Obviously, we aren't capable of doing it on ANOTHER level, since we are all on our level, but it is similar to humanizing animals... Go watch babe, then eat some pork chops... Bet it makes it a little tougher eh?
