LOL, The two would be too busy trying to survive, rather than worrying about each other's beliefs....or lack there of.
And with the two trapped on the island, what would it matter for the atheist to "convert" anyhow. I'd feel awfully sorry though, for that atheist --being trapped on an island with a fundie. There are fundies and then there are the rest of us Christians. ;-)

Sadly many WOULD. You don't need an island to see this. It happens in the US all the time.
You see people coming to church with the person they are dating and "converting" to Christianity. Often they break up with the boyfriend or girlfriend, and also stop being a "Christian." They weren't really interested in God. They were interested in another person.

A person's sex appeal would not be of any interest if stranded on an island. My life might be at stake. If I know that you might die, is it a good time to offend God?
I am not waiting until I get in a position of no return before I call on the name of Jesus. I have one soul, and I am not about to spend it in Hell!

my gf was christian awhile ago... and i didnt agree with it at all. so we just agreed to leave relgion out of all our conversations. then one day she went on a rant about how christianity pissed her off so much and how much bs it was, nothing to do with me, and converted to wicca... and she hasn't gotten real into that yet so i guess she's just kinda "fuckit"
so i guess my answer is no, because she's been through 2 religions i didnt beleive while we were together and the thought never crossed my mind

If I converted to another person's religion, it certainly wouldn't be based on that person's physical appearance. That would be not only shallow, but illogical.

If answering YES means I'm gonna' get stuck with a good looking guy, or an ugly woman, I don't want to play your game.

Maybe, if I were extremely deeply in love, and there was no way for us to be together otherwise. Not sure though, and I hope I never have to pu it to the test.

The goal is not to convert but to receive from God his Holy spirit in Jesus name, now some would say you have to convert but you have to ask in Jesus name and then his spirit will come into you and convert you from the inside out!

Nope, and I still believe there are atheists in foxholes too. One's true beliefs are non-negotiable. Anyone that believes something out of convenience is not being true to themselves, or that which they falsely attest to believe.
