No, you don't. Going to church is a way to fellowship with other people of the same faith, which is strengthening. It is good to go to church if you feel like it, as you can learn a lot of things there that you might not learn anywhere else, but God's love for you is not contingent (dependent) on you going to church.
Most church-going Christians will beg to differ with me on this one, but from experience, and a really close relationship with God, I can tell you that you can be VERY close to God without going to church.
You are the house of God, NOT a building. "Howbiet the most High dwelleth not in temples made with hands; as saith the prophet, Heaven is my throne, and earth is my footstool: what house will ye build me? saith the Lord..." (Acts 7:48, 49)
The most important thing you can do is love God. That's what He wants more than anything...even more than your church attendance.
In the Bible, the Apostle Paul said that we are not to neglect the assembling of ourselves together, but you can do that with other friends of the same faith. I have never had anyone be able to show me anywhere in the Bible where Jesus said that you must go to church.
If you love God with all your heart and you love your neighbor as yourself, you have fulfilled all that God commands. See Matthew Chapter 22, verses 36 through 40.

The Scripture says, "Forsake not the assembling of yourselves together as the manner of some men is." It means to NOT give up on going to church just because you got saved like some men think it's OK to do so. You go to church to rest from your labors, worship with fellow believers and garner nuggets of wisdom from the teaching and preaching as well as find your spiritual/physical relief at the altar.

Each and every person has a unique connection to some form of God, spiritual awareness or ethical standards. God did not intend for us to find him indoors, and he did not intend for us to follow others to him. Some people need to have some sort of social organization to find the door to spirituality. But for the most part I think that church and organized religions are flawed and lazy. God does not want us to believe or follow, he wants us to learn and know him.

You dont have to go to have God in your life, but he does want us to fellowship and worship with others and church is his home where we can do this. He also wants us to be servants and give our ourselves and voluntering in our church home is also a place to do this. Attending church and taking communion ( we do this weekly) kinda gets me back on track of i have had a bad week and gets me ready fort he next week..I also enjoy the fellowship and friendship from others at church and singing his praises as part of his holy body of believers

You can still have God in your life without going to church.

Worship of God cannot be achieved solo. Like a hermit spending years in a cave.
(Hebrews 10:25) not forsaking the gathering of ourselves together, as some have the custom, but encouraging one another, and all the more so as YOU behold the day drawing near.

No, I think the whole church thing is corrupt and they really just want your money(This is my family's personal experience). If you feel more comfortable worshiping at home with your family or otherwise than there's absolutely no reason why you can't have God in your life.
