Go walking with her every evening for about 1/2 an hour and build it to an hour. Then, take her home and make her a delicious healthy dinner. Don't let her drink anything but water the rest of the evening while you guys watch some wonderful comedies. In a week she'll start feeling more energy, in a month she'll start dropping weight. And, she'll have you to thank for it. Yes, you do have to be there for her for at least 6 weeks to start off and then start introducing her to some fun people she can share her new found self esteem.

Persuade her to cut all soda, chips and fastfoods. Snack on healthy food. Like unsalted nuts.

Then get her to eat healthily with lots of veggies, lean meat and complex carbs and exercise, like walk or jog, then she will not have problem losing some fats and weight. If she can eat like this and exercise all her life, she can remain slim
even after she has kids.

I am on low carb, low fat, high fibre, high protein and a hour brisk walk 5 times a week, and I have lost 31lbs and gain better health. I am now maintaining my 108lbs for more than a year.

Well one you can stand up for her and if you see people bullying her step in and tell them off, second you can offer to work out with her and help her lose some weight if she wants to.also you could in a nice way point out that she needs to eat healthy to be healthy and that chips and soda are not healthy and that if she keeps it up she will just give the kids that pick on her more of a reason to pick on her. but if your really that worried about it i would talk to your parents about it because maybe she should be talking to a consular or something before it gets too bad.

The chips and soda are what's getting her. She's got to eat less without starving herself. Also, she needs to eat healthy food. I'm not sure what the recommended dietary intake is for a child, but she's probably exceeding it by quite a lot. Exercise will help somewhat, but it's much less effective than eating right. Good luck!

Take her to the park, play sports with her, hide the chips and soda. The eating habbits she discovers now will live with her the rest of her life. When you see her eating junk food, take it away. Tell her that by the time shes 20 she'll be obese, it sounds harse but it will save her life. Ride bikes together, go swimming (it is summer!) make excersize fun.

Well I guess you could say to her "Hey, do you want to go and shoot some hoops?". Just help her to get her moving and be encouraging. Do activities that are fun that don't seem like exercise like riding bicycles, basketball or rollerblading. As for the junk food maybe your mum or dad or someone could try and encourage her to eat healthy. Maybe if she was apart of making the evening meal? Anyway, it's nice to see you care about her! Good luck ;)

the best things that you can do, imo are:

don't make an issue of her weight or what she eats. do everything in your power to encourage her to be active... do sports with her, go rollerblading with her, etc.

lead by example, as far as what to eat. encourage whoever does the grocery shopping to buy only healthy things, and don't complain about it yourself... act like you want to be healthier too. don't beg for fast food, etc for meals, 'cause she'll want some too, it's no fun to watch everyone else eat whatever they want. since your older you could have ALOT of influence over her choices, but please be careful about how you approach things, or you'll only make her feel worse.

that is so sweet that you care so much. try talking to ur mom or someone about her. it might help. and talk a women adult into taking her to curves for women. it really works and helps girls and women build up their confidence. and keep on caring!
