Any of the Ruger .22 autos are accurate. I've had several, and they always put in nice groups.
As far as reliability, they are super reliable. One of the best, if not the best, .22 auto on the market. You won't have any problems.
There is one thing you might need to know about the Ruger auto pistols. ( .22 ) On the backstrap, there is a main spring. It has a little lever on it that you pull outward. Then you slide the mainspring out, then remove the bolt, etc to clean it. There is a trick to this that you need to know, or you will have one aggravating experience...
You MUST make sure that the mainspring is placed back under the hammer spur. If not, when you rock the mainspring back in, the thing will jam and it will take a rag, pliers, and a ton of hand strength to free it. You have GOT to make sure that the mainspring is under the hammer spur, or you will curse the day you ever got that pistol. When you get the pistol, just check the manual and you will see the disassembly process. Make sure you do it exactly the way Ruger tells you, or you will have a problem.
Generally, I used Gun Scrubber spray and blasted out any powder and brass debris. Then oiled the gun up. It worked perfectly everytime. So you don't have to disassemble the gun everytime you need to clean it. But if you do, see above!
Good luck!

I have used a ruger mk2 with 6 7/8 heavy slab side barrel for years for squirrel hunting, taking only head shots. I have put a 2 power scope on it to do this, and most shots are around the 20 to 30 yard range. It is quite capable at these ranges and able to shoot into 1 1/4 inch if I do my part. I have a friend who has a 22/45 but has the tapered 4 inch barrel. His gun is not as accurate. You will want to go with the heavy barrel if at all possible.
They are very dependable when feed ammo of good quality.

Most modern handguns are more accurate than the shooter. The Ruger .22 auto is at least as accurate as you are. LOL! Rugers are also super dependable and durable. Any auto loader will require a little more attention than a wheel-gun, but your Ruger should serve you well so long as you keep it clean and lightly lubed. If it doesn't go as long as your Single Six, that may be because the auto loader has more moving parts to wear out.
Best.

I have both a single six and a 22/45. Both are dependable, low maintenance, and accurate. Notice I said low and not no maintenance. As long as you keep your 22/45 reasonably clean you won't have any feed or jamming problems. I bought mine used and rescued it from a rough life. After an extensive cleaning I never had another feed or jam problem with it. For the price, they are great little guns and a great way to spend the afternoon plinking and plenty accurate for hunting.
