I remember those times. When I wasn't so stressed out. When there wasn't hate, racism, violence. When I would just randomly go to neighbors houses to play with other kids despite the creepy dad that always watching me

Where did you live where there wasn't violence, racism and hate? I grew up in a nice typical middle class suburb where we had new schools, my dad worked a good job and my mom stayed home with the kids. We, like everyone else in my neighborhood, went to church on Sunday, didn't watch tv much, didn't have air conditioning and owned one car that my dad drove to work.

However it was my parents who warned me about blacks(only that's not what they called them), I only met a jewish person in high school and it was only one. Alot of the mom's had valium addictions or were drunks. One of my best friends father regularly beat the holy hell out of her mom and the baby across the street had its legs broken "somehow".

I lived in fear of the atom bomb and radiation and we prayed in church that God would kill all the communists. My grandmother told me that all Catholics were going to hell because they worshipped idols and my catholic neighbors told me I was going to hell because I wasn't catholic. My other grandmother said that you could tell a homosexual by their shifty eyes and my grandfather said Hitler had a good idea when he put them in concentration camps and tried to kill them off. Worked for the jews too, he said.

Actors, Actress's, writers, musicians and polititians were black listed for being suspected of communist leanings. The books we used left out the part of history that women, blacks, American Indians and other ethnic races and cultures participated in.

Oh and that creepy dad was regularly abusing his daughter and his sons. The oldest joined the army and tried to get himself killed in Vietnam. The daughter is on her third marriage, two of them being to sexual abusive men one of which tortured her sexually to the
extent that she could never had kids, and the youngest son has been in and out of prison for molesting young boys. Better for you that you stayed away from the creepy dad.

No, I don't want to be a kid again. I remember those times all too well, and I have my eyes open.

i do wish that i was a kid many times. when you didnt have any responsibilities, your mom and dad tuck you in at night and gave you a kiss on your forehead and how they were always there when you scraped your knee, but at the same time i am glad im an adult and they cant stop me from doing anything. i still do sing that song "i dont want to grow up im a ToysRUs kid" when life gets too hard and i wish i was a kid

I wish I could go back for about a week so I could see my mom again. All of my aunts, uncle, and cousins who have passed on, well, I just miss my whole family and the warmth of being with them.

I don't ever want to be a kid again, and all those things you mention have been there for ever, only that back then you had somebody watching you.
