Check your local health food store, look for bread that is from "Sprouts" It has no carbs. All white bread in any form including waffles has carbs. No way around it. The sprouted bread takes some getting used to but it is a really good alternative to white bread. Good luck.

OK, first let's learn the difference between simple carbs and complex carbs. Simple carbs are sugars and processed grains-e.g. white flour and white rice. Complex carbs are veggies, fruits and whole grains.
Thus, both of your choices are simple carbs whether toasted or not. Try some whole grain bread and waffles and you can choose which you want to have.

Waffles, especially whole grain waffles. No matter what stay away from bagels. One half of a bagel=1 portion size.
