It makes no sense for God to create everything that he supposedly has, when he only needed Earth for his experiment.

10,000,000,000,000,000,000,000 stars does sorta seem like a lot of unneeded creation doesn't it.

And what nice plans too eh fireball, even if you were the most charitable, honest person, but a non believer you will be wiped from the face of the earth. Nice guy you grovel to.

Who says that He only did His experiment on Earth? Maybe He did other "experiments" on other planets. We think we are the only ones because we only know what we have heard from the Bible.
I believe that God made the universe and that there is life on other planets. I believe -like it says in the movie "Contact" - that otherwise it would be a waste of space,
I believe that we will even be able to travel to the other planets after we leave this one. God is so great, and so interesting and so omniscient (all-knowing) that I find it hard to believe that He would limit Himself to just one planet when He has the whole universe to "play" with.

Who is to say that God doesn't have something else going on on some other planet? The Bible tells only the truth, but that doesn't mean it tells us absolutely everything there is to know about everything, right?

Even if we are all alone in this great big universe, which to me seems unlikely, God has a reason for doing everything, even if that reason isn't quite clear to us.

Take care, and God bless.

That is something that we will never know. I think that at one point there was life on some of them, but just like what we are doing to earth they became destroyed. I also think that our space programs are looking for a new planet that humans can live on. We all can not go, only the chosen ones can go. I have weird dreams about this stuff, and if you read the bible and think along the lines of higher technology while reading it you might understand were I am coming from. There was life outside of the garden of Eden.

It will be interesting to see the answers you get on this one. There is no need to have any other planets, etc. And obviously we are an experiment, nothing more. Since there was a start and all God supposedly doing is watching and observing and taking notes and then will destroy the world at some time and divide us among him and Satan. The whole thing is stupid.

We are not an experiment, we are God's creation! I am sure that the Universe would have had a higher significance had the Devil not change the course of our lives. Once Jesus restores the original order in this planet, I am sure we will be able to enjoy the Universe in ways that we cannot possibly imagine.

First of all he did not need anything for an experiment. He is self sustaining. I know it is hard to comprehend, but God always existed. There never was a time when he did not exist, because he is outside of mans parameters. He did not need man, man need God to exist. He created everything for his own pleasure. he created the sun, moon, stars and other planets for his pleasure. It took man thousands of years for them to even discover other planets, but God knew about them as soon as they were created. I am glad that God chose to create mankind for his pleasure, and i do not think we were an experiment, because doeb Godnot make mistakes. Or in fact he would not be God.

How do you know this is really the only planet with some sort of life? Maybe there's another type of thing going on somewhere else. It's not like we've explored every planet in the universe. and who knows there could life on/in Jupiter, just that they use need different condtions to live.

Why would God need to make an experiment? Think about that one!

It would make sense if you substituted experiment with prison.

Here's the scenario (it's all myth but anyway)...

God has billions of planets populated with humanoids (or whatever). They live like kings, no sickness, no problems. Well almost none. There's a tiny percentage of creatures who thrive on getting up to no good, and when caught, they get to be born on a prison planet such as earth. After your sentence is over (when you die), you go back to wherever and hopefully you behave, if not, well you know.

Anyway this is just something I invented to pass the time, far fetched but not impossible. That we suffer because Adam ate a berry behind god's back is impossible.

A really, really PERFECT Invisible Sky Critter wouldn't have needed even one planet let alone experiment.
A really, really perfect Invisible Sky Critter would have needed no more than it already was.

Two possibilities I can think of (meaning there could be more but I can't be bothered thinking for any more):
1. The Invisible Sky Critter isn't perfect so why would you worship an imperfect Invisible Sky Critter?
2. Invisible Sky Critters do not exist.

Gee, I wonder which one I'll go for.
