School is starting soon, and I want to know some ideas for a good filling breakfast that will keep me full until lunch time.

Also, what would be some healthier lunch choices at my school. Since we all know school lunches can't be THAT healthy for you.

Yes I am trying to loose weight, and trying to eat healthy.

Thanks guys! [:

breakfast is one meal that has to have the most calories - old fashioned oatmeal with egg whites or nuts and dried fruit or fruit/berries and honey.
find daily calorie intake calculator on the net, enter all your stats and it will tell you how many calories you need a day to maintain, take off 300-400cal off that number and thats how much you need to lose.
eat 5-6 small meals a day (eat every 2-3 hours - it optimizes your metabolism)
5-8 servings of fruit and veggies a day
8 glasses of water
have complex carbs for breakfast - they give you energy
have protein (lean meat, legumes etc) for dinner - repairs muscle
cardio is the only fat burning exercise and burns fat all over your body (running, jogging, swimming, spinning, elliptical etc) 4-6 times a week for 30-50min (ideally 45min because the first 20-30min body burns carbs and only then starts burning fat), light weight training (more muscle=faster metabolism)
dont consume foods that are made of white flour (white bread, cakes, pasta etc.), sugar loaded foods (cookies, icecream, candy etc) and nothing fried, oily.
ofcourse you can spoil yourself once in a while with a little treat:)

The biggest part of loosing weight is two words: self restraint. Before you go on a diet/exercise decision, you have to be fully committed to it. The best way is to set a small term goal, then another small term goal, then another, and so on until you reach your ending goal. That's the only way you'll be able to accomplish it. Also, with diet, make sure you eat balanced meals--fruits, veggies, protein, stay away from large helpings of starches like bread and pasta, you can still have appropriate proportions. Stay away from sodas. Period. Drink water or juice. Exercise by running or walking, lifting weights, going to a gym, etc., just make sure you are exercising. Very important. It's also really important that you eat. You can't just skip a meal or two because then on your next meal you'll over-eat. Good luck, and I hope this helps!

I love fruits. Smoothies are good too. Like put some orange juice, ice, and strawberries in a blender and just go at it. They used to keep me pretty full through the day, and then I'd just get a small thing here or there at lunch. Or you could always bring a sandwhich or a fruit salad or something for lunch.

OATMEAL! I know it doesn't sound exciting at first, but its easy to make, and keeps you going longer...

I like it with butter, brown sugar and bananas.. but you could use milk & honey instead.... Pretty much any fruit is good and what the hay, throw some flax seeds in there too..or nuts... go nuts, experiment and enjoy a healthy breakfast that will keep your belly happy until lunch.

I'd suggest oatmeal for breakfast. It's good for you, can help you lose weight, and definately fills you up.

As for lunch, just eat a balanced meal. One serving meat, one serving dairy, and one or two servings of fruit and/or vegetables.

If you want to stay away from unhealthy foods, don't eat anything fried, loaded with sugar, or creamy (like salad dressing), or just cut back on those kinds of foods. It's not hard to eat healthy, just usually not convenient.

you can try this - 1 piece of fruit - whether it is apple or a cup of strawberries or 1 medium banana or you can have a glass of juice.
with a bowl of high fiber cereals with 2% milk or nonfat milk and 1 hardboiled egg or any kind of style of egg. Protein is very important especially in the morning.

Oatmeal. I found a brand called Thick And Rich. It comes in a red box. It is filling-and said to help reduce cholesterol.

eat a yogurt or something at like 10--it's a snack, so you won't have really low blood sugar and you won't be starving

pack your own lunch--make healthy sandwiches, bring left-ovesr
