any ideas on adding weight to my heavy bag stand? its a century stand with an 100 lbs bag. i have to buy additional barbell weights but is there anything cheap i can put on it?

Toss some sand bags or very fine gravel on the base. They can be purchased at Lowes or HQ for several dollars a bag for fifty pounds.

Well kido, you should start out with a beginner bag , so your hands can adjust to the punching and you will also have a chance to develop some needed technique . 70 lbs should do you good. I am retired world class pro who started out when boxing was boxing !

One option you could look at is to bolt it down to a 4 x 8 foot sheet of plywood which will keep it from tipping over.
