I had a very odd dream about Jesus and his death. And it was not normal at all. I was Jesus, and I had to get into a bag, put the bag on my bloody thorned head while on the cross, and stay in the bag until I died of hunger. But before that, I talked to a bunch of young children who were there to see me, and I felt sad that I had to leave them. They were being oddly nice, and gave me ear plugs so I wouldn't have to see my bloodied self (one of those things that just doesn't make sense). But then they let me go, took the thorn crown off my head, and gave me a clean shirt white dress shirt. Before I knew it, I was home and looking in the mirror. My face was covered in dirt and blood. And my mom acted like nothing was wrong.
What the hell. That was such a random dream. And it kind of freaked me out, because like I said, I don't follow any sort of real religion. And even if I believe some things, other things I think are nonsense.

Possibility #1. Your reading, wide reading, results in dreams: the processing of all that you read, takes the form of dreams, vague and irrational, as they are!
Possibility #2. There is some conflict in your own mind about your faith, or, lack of faith: after all, you live in a society, and there are believers and non-believers around you, all of them interacting with you all the time, socially, and in the course of your professional or school life (as the case may be), all that interaction leaving some impressions in you for you to debate deep within, resulting in dreams! (again, dreams could be vague, irrational, sometimes!).
Possibility #3. You have very recently read some book that has left a kind of impact in your mind: Dan Brown, for example (angels and demons: or, da vinci code). That will probably wear off in due course of time!
Note: If it is the #2 phenomenon, the dreams will recur in some form or other, and help you to resolve the conflict within! You seem to be a thinking, debating person, capable of logical arguments and rational decision making, with some intensity towards your own opinions and considerations!

Sounds like a pretty wild dream. I don't know why you would dream something like that, but the Bible says that in the last days people would dream religious dreams and see visions. I don't think this one falls into that category though. My husband always says dreams are just free entertainment. At least you didn't have to buy a ticket. Nighty night!

I don't follow a religion either but I have met Jesus twice, and once was in a dream. Your dream doesn't make sense to me, but the fact that you had it doesn't surprise me at all. Maybe its time to find your Faith. Everyone's journey has to start sometime.
Heaven is a state of mind,

If you've been reading and participating here then this could be the reason for your dream. It's a known fact that the brain is defragmenting (like a computer) when we sleep. It all becomes mumbo-jumbo in our dreams.
Or, God is trying to tell you something.

Human imagination is very interesting isn't it? I've heard that nightmares and vivid dreams like yours occur the most during times of inner conflict or indecisiveness.

There is a huge difference between religion and faith; I would gather that you do not follow a religion but perhaps have a lot of faith.

Until you really know yourself, you cannot control your subconscience. Your dreams come from your subconcience.

A lot of times, God speaks to you in dreams.
Think about it, love, he's getting your attention.
