When dancing at a pub/nightclub/etc, how much touching should you let a guy get away with so you don't look easy? I want to go to have fun and I like to dance, but I dont like being groped. However if I walked away evertime someone tries to grab my butt then I would end up dancing alone and its not as much fun. I can deal with being touched if I have to but at the same time I really don't want to give guys the wrong impression. So, how much can you let a guy touch you and still maintain some dignity?

I dance pretty well, and I remember one time at a club when a girl saw me and wanted to dance with me. I went on and started dancing, but she almost wouldn't let me touch her at all, I mean when I tried to put my hands on her hips or stomach, she removed them immediately, and kinda aggressively even. I didn't like that, I think it ain't cool. But she was there with her boyfriend, so maybe that explains it.

I wasn't intending to touch her butt or breasts, at least not in that phase... you kinda have to dance a little and get to know the person before you start doing that.

So I think that too less touching allowed is not so good. I eventually left and yes, I left her dancing alone (her boyfriend didn't want to dance).

But if you know your limits and you impose them, you'll be fine. It's also good to listen to feedback.

Go dance girl!

From a guy's POV, I think that any gentleman would keep his hands above the waist and away from your face. An arm on the shoulder is good. If you tell a guy to back off a little and he walks away then he is just a jerk. If he can't respect your choice on day one then how is he supposed to if you end up dating later on.

The face has intimacy, at least I think so. If a guy touches your face barely knowing you then he has crossed the line. If a finger or two sink a little on to your butt, not so bad.

I don't know what clubs you've been to but just because you don't want a guy touching you doesn't mean you end up dancing alone, there are decent guys out there and any girl who likes being touched is seen as easy and sometimes skanky and if you want some dignity don't let yourself get felt up!

Yeah some guys can get pretty close if ur not paying attention to where their hands are going, but as a woman/girl u have to know where ur limits are and have to establish them so the guys can respect that, have fun to dancing but taking control of the situation. i specially like to take control on the dance floor with them.

No one should touch you if u r not comfortable with them doing so. You can be polite, but let them know that u don't enjoy being touched on the dance floor.

not much.. the best thing to do is just have fun and don't worry about it.. Start dancing with your friends and let the guys come to you. Don't worry..in a club there 3 guy to every girl..watch out for the slimy nasty ones!

You can give lap-dances, don't let them feel your breasts or hands on your but, if they go to places where they shouldn't be (butt or breasts) remove them with you hand and place them somewhere else (hips) or hold hands with him. Good polite way to correct something without making a big deal and / or killing the mood.

there is nothing wrong with moving their hand when it's going too far. and if he doesn't get the point then walk away.
