i can not find a DVI-D TO 3 RCA cable anywhere! every site or store has dvi-i to rca but not div-d to rca! please help me a fine a store or site so i can get this cable

Really all you need is a SVGA to RGB Component cable and hook it to the RGB port on the monitor. But if your heart is set on using the DVI port, buy the SVGA to RGB Component cable and get a DVI-D to VGA converter (really, there won't be any difference.)

Please understand this only hooks up the video, not the audio.

DVI D is DIGITAL, Component is ANALOG you need either a converter box or a reciever with conversion.The Onkyo 605 has conversion of svhs, component and composite to HDMI and will upconvert the resolution as well.. It is HDMI 1.3 and has dolby true and DTS. CNET gave it an editors choice award.

It might be a better idea to just go component (RGB) with all your connections.
