I would definitely get one if you're really looking to improve your swing!
As "W" said above, it can be 'frustrating' at times, but when it comes to improving not just your golf game, but your golf 'swing', I can't think of a better training aid then the Medicus...Just make sure you get the 'newest one'...which has the DOUBLE HINGE!
Once you start hitting it consistently....you'll be amazed at how much your scores will drop!

the medicus trainer is a good aid for the beginner because it teaches good fundamentals like swing plane and tempo but for a better player it may in grain some bad habits - in order to keep the club from breaking, you have to "lay it off" on the way back and at the top of your swing which can cause some other problems - I've always said that the momentus is a better training aid - it strengthens your golf specific muscles and keeps your club on plain because of the extra weights - I warm up with a momentus club before the range and before a round - try them and see what you think - good luck

I have the 5 iron and the Medicus Driver. Whenever my swing goes "off" I take these clubs to the range and work until I can hit the ball without the club breaking down. I swear by these clubs and highly recommend them

They do work but break down when your swing is off just a little, can be frustrating to use but it will help you find the true swing. Once you get so you can swing the club and actually hit a ball consistently your swing is good. I would look on EBAY though, lots of used ones around at a fraction of the cost of a new one.

The Medicus dual-hinge is only good for certain swings where as the power hitter works for any swing. I would go with the power hitter and one of the short momentus irons for indoor practice with a mirror. Don't get the Medicus, its not all its cooked up to be, but all the Momentus clubs are great!
