You are welcome to come to my house and try anytime. I am sure we both will learn something, and I hope you can conduct yourself in a right manner because I treat my guests with respect.
I will tell you that you will fail in your quest because I am not believing because I heard it from someone else or because I read it somewhere but because I have experienced a very personal relationship with God and He has proven Himself over and over and over.
He has done things in and through my life that you might not want to believe because they are just like the miracles you read about in the Bible and they are very real.
If you give me enough prior notice I may even get a special meal made up just for you. If it is on short notice then maybe we could order pizza or something.

The Bible was written thousands of years ago. I think people forget that. When we read the classics we read them realizing the prospective is of an ancient culture because thats the only way they make sense. The Bible is no different!! If God wants Christians to preach the gospel its because in the time the Bible was written, many people didnt know about Christianity and preaching was a form of spreading the word. In modern society the word is out and door to door "advertising" is seen as pushy and a turn-off by many people. Virtually everyone knows the Christian ideals so if they want to be Christian, let them do it themselves without being pushed prodded or coerced to do so. Everything I said excludes, obviously, those cut off from modern society, but as for them, doesnt God forgive those who are ignorant to him, or is your God vengeful?

I wouldn't be annoyed ....I stand so firm on what I believe and even if you brought an army, and your Mama,,I can not be moved...LOL
So far as I know, only Jehovah Witnesses go door to door. Since what they believe is way off the mark from what most Christians believe...go for it..they wouldn't be any worse off being atheists than they are now...the path would be the same....but aren't the people the friendliest people....one came to my house the other day..I told her I was Pentecostal and that usually does the trick..the are afraid of us...all that speaking in tongues stuff scares the bejeebies out of them...I am Pentecostal and I can prove what I say from the Bible..they had to add words to make theirs say what they wanted it to say...
brian8907----they are not Christians...they do not beleive in Jesus as their Savior...

No they wouldn't mind. If you believe in the Flying Spaghetti Monster, or the Invisible Pink Unicorn, or a god with thirteen heads, or that god doesn't exist at all, it's fine, but say Jesus was married and you are a great enemy and even the son of the devil.

Knocking at their door for good purpose isn't bad, but just be prepared coz they might turn you down (directly or indirectly). And if they accept your idea/teaching, am sure you can rejoice on that. Everyone has their own belief, and ones should respect them, as it's everyone's right, too. Whoa... good question....guys, just give your honest answer !!

I think that would be just about the most interesting thing to see. I think they would just use it as a chance to try and convert you though... anything you said against their beliefs would be ignored.

1. Learn to spell
2. Yes, anyone would be annoyed
3. When the bible thumpers knock on my door, I smile, tell them that I'm not a Christian, smile, thank them and close the door. Works for me.
