I lost the removable faceplate to my pioneer car cd player... is there a way to get another one that will fit the backing, or will i have to buy an entire new system?

Yes, you can try EBay. If you bought the stereo from a store and have your receipt. You can order one. If not from a store, find a place that is authorized warranty repair center for Pioneer. The receipt proves that your the original owner.
If you bought it used, it might be more difficult to get through official methods.
