Make a pony-tail, twist it until it's fully twisted, then wind the twist around the center. Now take a pencil, and go under over under. The only part you're going over is the bun. You secure the rest of the hairdo by tucking it under the back hair beside the bun on each side.

ok so what i do is i hold my hair in a pony tail and i take the pencil and put it in the middle of my pony tail. then i start twisting the pencil until it faces up again. twist your hair around the pencil and then put the pencil upside down then kind of pull it out a little, BUT NOT ALL THE WAY! if you let go it will all fall out! ok so after you pull it out a little you take the pencil and stick it in the top of your bun. push the pencil through and it should stay!
