To serve others.

I'm not sure what all the others are for.

Why do you say that each of us was born for a reason? Show us the proof for that statement. Even xtians say that the only real purpose that we are here is to worship god. I know this because I went to and graduated from a xtian university. So what reason do YOU think that we were born? Because if you say anything else besides "worshiping and praising god" than you would not be biblical and have no real proof for your answer. Now, I don't know about you, all I really know about is me....but the last thing I want to do is spend my time worshiping a supposed deity who says that he has the ability to end all suffering and to really make a difference and he (for his own reasons:/) decides that the little girl with cancer should die, that large populations in africa should starve, that murderers can have deathbed conversions and receive ever thing good in an after life. Really?! Is this ok with all of you? Oh, wait, it doesn't have to be ok with you...god has his reasons; we have free will; I can't dictate to god. You side with amoral decisions from your god because you have no right to express the truth? Your like every other sheep that says "god has his reasons;god has his reasons" and "God said so I believe it". You all are a bunch of non-thinking sheeple that own a brain that is utterly wasted on you. How can I, be better than god? When I through my own innate morals, would choose to save the little girl with cancer if I had the power? How about changing the weather patterns; I would if I could and then maybe the less fortunate of this world would have just a good of a chance at life like me. Well, h*ll, I would do this because I care about the starving people in africa. You "god followers" only look at the picture that pertains to you and not to humanity. You choose presidents and pastors that make money and start wars. You people are not humble or meek. You and your kind destroy this planet because you only want to get to the next one. The one that you feel is promised to you by your god. So is this your reason for being born. Conquer and destroy? From the lowest xtian who believes that gays shouldn't be allowed to live to the ex-president of the united states that manipulated a war and said god agreed with him - there is no doubt in my mind that this world would be a better place without religions influence.

Does the nut that holds the tire on your car know its purpose? No...but it serves a purpose nonetheless.

Does a cow that is being raised for meat know its purpose? No...but it serves its purpose, nonetheless.

We all have an interconnected purpose, and that purpose may to be to cross a street at a certain time, causing a car to delay in order to let us pass, and in that delay, prevents or causes an accident that allows a specific person to develop a cure for a disease, or to father a son who will become president. We don't know at the time, nor may we ever know what that purpose was...but more important to us than the purpose we served (in the grand scheme of things) is how we lived our lives, how we developed our soul and how we discovered meaning in our self-awareness. In the end, the nut doesn't just hold on the tire, it makes sure the ambulance gets to the hospital ontime; the cow doesn't just become hamburger, it feeds a child who may lead a nation and its hide became part of the shoes worn by someone who discovered a cure for cancer. We are all part of something, and our knowing is not a requirement, nor even in the realm of knowing.

My life is wonderful. I do not own alot of materiall possessions, not even a car. I live in a apartment with thrift store items. To have alot of material possessions is not the purpose of my life. I enjoy being kind and compassionate. I enjoy doing a great job at work. I pray for people and this is satisfying to me. God said Jesus came to give us life and life more abundant. His purpose is that you become content where you are in any situation. I don't know how He does this exactly, but He does. There is something inside the person that He puts His peace and joy and then it flows out into the physical body. Our purpose is to love Him, because He first loved us and show this love to the world.

Everyone was born with gifts and talents. That is your purpose. To use these gifts to the best of your ability to make you happy and to help others. Most of all when you use your gifts & talents it makes God happy. My purpose? I and my team mates go on mission trips to Haiti each year to help in the orphanages and go into villiages and bring food to the starving people. We raise money ahead of time so we can do this. That is one of my purposes in life.

I hope that you can understand this. God has the Right. He has the RIGHT over everyone and everything. There is nothing that God does not have rights over. He owes no one anything.

These verses may help you understand that:
Romans 9
14 What then shall we say? Is God unjust? Not at all! 15 For he says to Moses,
"I will have mercy on whom I have mercy,
and I will have compassion on whom I have compassion." 16 It does not, therefore, depend on man's desire or effort, but on God's mercy. 17 For the Scripture says to Pharaoh: "I raised you up for this very purpose, that I might display my power in you and that my name might be proclaimed in all the earth." 18 Therefore God has mercy on whom he wants to have mercy, and he hardens whom he wants to harden.

19 One of you will say to me: "Then why does God still blame us? For who resists his will?" 20 But who are you, O man, to talk back to God? "Shall what is formed say to him who formed it, 'Why did you make me like this?' " 21 Does not the potter have the right to make out of the same lump of clay some pottery for noble purposes and some for common use?

If you understood that, then you are perhaps capable of receiving grace from God. If you understand it and reject it, think about it a bit.

So the answer is: God chooses the purpose. You will know it if you trust Him. Mine is what I am doing here, right now. It doesn't always have to be this, but right now, it's this.

Its your job to find out what your purpose is. I have found that I am to be a mom and that is one of my many purposes in life. I feel that most of our life is spent trying to find a purpose but never really trying to fill a purpose weither or not its the "one".

too many people think that the life we've been given is all about them.
wrong!
it's all about glorification of Jesus, our LORD, Savior & creator of the world.... it is our purpose.
we are to glorify Him at all times ... through the good times & the bad... b/c "we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to His purpose. (romans 8:28)

His will. It can be ANYTHING.
God can use us as doctors to heal people.
Pastors to preach His word
Musicians to sing His word.
ANYTHING. How do you figure out the will? Well, first you gotta get the promise of God. The promise isn't like the will at all. But the promise is a motivation to get you movin to the will.

Your purpose here may be to be a jerk. By doing so you make Christians faith stronger. They read your rants and grab their Bibles in order to combat your ignorance.

I believe our true purpose would be to reproduce. But if you look deeper I think there's a certain job we all have in life even if it is simply to help influence someone else to their greatness.
