I have seen far too many plays to even consider a "best". I am annoyed that I was unable to get a ticket for Ian McKellan's King Lear in Melbourne next month.

The first Shakespeare I saw on stage was A Midsummer Nights Dream at the Old Vic in London with a very young Judi Dench playing Helena. I have seen dozens of Shakespeare plays since as well as many others.

Wicked!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I've seen a couple plays in my short life, and Wicked was absolutely stupendous. I saw it while on vacation in New York, though I believe it is now here in LA. However, I'm sure it will be in more places, its was spectacular.
