Wow, that's pretty interesting. We have specialty pies at my work (family restaurant) that we have to put out in our pie case every morning. I was taking them out of the box and noticed that they have about 105% of your daily sat. fat in one piece. It's like, WOW! Customers don't see that, and this pie doesn't really look like it's THAT bad. People either like to be blissfully unaware (80%), or honestly just don't know.
No one I know except me and my mom read labels. It's really quite sad!

WOW! I was totally unaware of that. I don't eat those (b/c I don't eat ice cream), but it's still interesting.
Yeah, I'm an anal-retentive label reader. If I cannot pronounce an ingredient or if I don't know what it is, I won't buy the product. If it passes the "ingredients" test with me, then I start looking at the nutritional information: fat, saturated fat, sodium, etc.

The labels don't always tell you everything. A can of Dinty Moore Beef Stew has 100% of your RDA for dog food.
Have you ever smelled that stuff? It smells like friggen Kibbles and Bits!! But it's sooooo tasty... mm....stew...

that sounds about right. Most people don't care until they're headed towards the emergency room with a heart attack. Then they wonder why they ate so bad all those years.
I always look at labels and ingredients. But the truth is, most people don't.

Lol...I was reading somewhere that 70% of people say that they read nutrition labels...then the article pointed out that 70% of the people in this country are overweight or obese.I read labels of foods before I eat them.

Be vegetarian and live life without any such tension of fat and the likes.
As a vegetarian, I can only say " LIVE AND LET LIVE".
Thanks
