Those who support illegal immigration, let me ask you this: WHY? What makes you think that it is actually benefiting the U.S. by allowing millions of illegal aliens in and supporting them? Don't use the "making a better life for themselves" crap on me. I'm not naive. Fewer and fewer illegal aliens are being underpaid everyday. More and more are demanding high paying jobs, in other words, taking jobs that rightfully belong to citizens. Crime rates have skyrocketed. Jails are filling up. Hospitals are closing. The U.S. is losing billions of dollars by supporting them. And all of this is because of illegal immigration. How is this better for our country? I would like you to list a few benefits of illegal immigration.

I guess you don't realize that illegals in this country will eventually turn it into the same thing Mexico is...a third world country. Then what will they do? Canada is sure to realize our mistake and act out against it. Why are illegals so selfish? They're ruining America and henceforth, Americans just so they can have money. That's rude and extremely selfish of them. If they want everything Americans do, they have a lot of work waiting for them in Mexico.

As a matter of fact, I would do all of those things, as long as I got paid. There are some people, who love farming so much, they would be willing to work out in a field. I would know, I know a few. What you failed to realize is that the illegals aren't paying taxes. The money they make, even if it is below minimum wage, they get to keep all of it. Not one penny goes to taxes, insurance, social security, or any other fund. What ends up happening is them making more money at the end of the year than someone who makes over $15 dollars an hour.

I wasn't talking just about Mexicans. You hear illegal and automatically jump to the conclusion that I was talking about a Mexican?

If you don't want convicts being punished by slave labor, then why not go somewhere else where they let the prisoners run free or else go to a country where you pick your own stupid food.

They're just here waiting until they get their legal status. The thing they don't realize is that it can't happen because the last time we made illegals legal is what brought this second larger wave of illegals. Do not come here and try to sell us that you just want a better life when what you are doing is tearing down our system of things. Go back to your own countries and show us that you really want a better life and do what all the rest of us did and fight to the death to make your own country better!!!!

You are correct! If you tell an unemployed American or a legal immigrant, "Listen, I'll pay you under the minimum wage but you'll be paid in cash, so you don't have to pay taxes and you'll get free health care, and you'll qualify for other welfare benefits including food stamps, housing, etc", everyone would would jump at the chance of working. The illegals get such a great ideal while American citizens are left in the dust.

America needs the labor. i do agree with you that there is lots of people that really should go back to their country.. but we do need the labor. well i was born in Mexico but i got a student visa and came to study over here. and I'm very happy to be here i thank god for having a visa and not being illegal. any way i know lots of illegal people from all over the world not just from Mexico some are good some are not. and well i think that if they work hard and learn the language and use birth control they should be allowed to stay as long as they are productive. i think that all those people in gangs and stuff should be in jail. i can't stand ignorant people. i know that this is not my country but i live here so i must live by the standards. well i just think that there really should be some kind of reform specially for people who have attended school here and were brought very young. people need to stop coming illegally but the way immigration works now needs to totally change also for the security of the country...

There are people much poorer than those in Mexico that live in other countries of the world. What do you propose we do about them??
Or do you only care about ONE country? You think its ok to allow illegal aliens from one country to come here to live, and if we try to stop it, or kick them out, WE are wrong, but we let people that are legitimately poor and literally starving to death in OTHER countries...die?? There are legal immigrants from other countries that are much poorer than some of those coming from countries to our south and are still waiting to come here patiently...waiting...so why are the ones you are talking about more important?
This is an analogy in case you don't know...because actually we do help them...there are many charities and the U.S. is probably the "most giving" country in this respect...

I don't see why anyone (besides the Mexican President and Mexicans) would support it. I have no problem with immigrants wanting to come to the U.S. for a better life. However, they should follow the law and become a citizen legally. They should learn how to speak English too. We shouldn't have to "press 1 for English" when we make a phone call. The one thing that really pisses me off though, is when you see all these Hispanics in our country marching down the street waving their Mexican flags. I just want to say to them, "If you love Mexico so much...go back"!!!

I don't think anybody support illegal immigration. They just want some realistic solution. It's clear we can't deport all of them. That will suck away all our money too. Which will beat the whole purpose of not having illegal immigrants. We just don't have physical and financial means to do such a thing. We kind of need Mexico's help on this too. This is like you're trying to build a dam to block stream of water, but on the other side a dude keeps dumping more water. What you gona do? Keep building the dam forever? We have to get Mexico's gov on this and have them help us on this issue. Mexico gov is actually aiding some people to cross illegally. There's only so much we can do on this side of border. Mexico need to step up and stop this thing. They're dumping people into our country.
It is problem, but you can't blame everything on illegal immigrants like you have done. I'm pretty sure there's probably more unpaid taxes by millionaires and billionaires who hide their wealth. These super wealthy people have astronomical amount of unpaid taxes/dues. Crimes cannot be credited only to illegal immigrants. Much of rise in crime have been credited to diversion of funds for war on terror that sucked away money from domestic crime prevention. Illegal immigration is costing lot of money, but small compared to other big expenses. Consider the US lost track of millions(or billions) of dollars in CASH for war in Iraq. We simply lost it. gazillions of dollars in cash in crates. It just disappeared. Nobody knows where it is.

Ah I hear these questions all the time. For starters I do not support illegal immigration by any stretch of the imagination. I only ask that the people already here be treated decently. Most Americans agree with me.It's easy to scapegoat all illegals as good for nothing criminals isn't it? Have you heard of the illegals that helped to rebuild New Orleans after hurricane Katrina? Of coarse not. Not when anti radicals like Lou Dobbs are alive. I ask you this not to offend you but as an honest question , would you ....
mow my lawn
clean my toilet
watch my nephews
paint my house
for slave wages? I doubt it.
These come here to do jobs that most Americans won't do.
How many people do you know of that say things like" Gee I wonder if I'll get that field worker job? I can't wait till I make minimum wage for slaving in a hot field!!"
And as far as illegal are filling up jails goes. They committ crimes at a same or LOWER rate than Americans.

Well, the republicans were in charge the last 6 years of every branch of government from the senate, to the house, and the president and they did NOTHING absolutely NOTHING to stop or slow down illegals coming into this country. Now that they are here, it's stupid to think the day will come when someone will just round them up and take them back. All those who voted the repubs into office the past few years now have to lay in the bed they made when it comes to illegals

Oh Geez, more of the answers with that lame line "they just do jobs that Americans won't do".
BULL$HIT !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Before we were invaded (and I do mean invaded) our crops got picked, our lawns got mowed, our buildings got cleaned, etc. It all happened. Americans did those jobs.
And when the illegals are gone....our crops will still get picked, our lawns mowed, our buildings clean. THese jobs will be done. By Americans and by LEGAL immigrants.
That sorry line about "jobs americans wont do" is so freakin' lame it needs a walker..........
