Do the promotion putting on an mma fight provide the cornerman that has the cotton swabs and the latex gloves that tend to the fighter between rounds? Or is he part of the fighters entourage?

It's part of the fighter's entourage.

MMA fights (specially small events) will only provide you with a "sorry" if you get hurt, you pretty much have to sign a waiver.

Make sure you have insurance, some promoters get it for the fighters though, but not all of them.

This is usually handled by someone with the fighter although if you say something in advance then they will usually try to find someone to help out in your corner if you need it. Also you can sometimes borrow a later fighter's cornermen if you are in a pinch. Cornermen are usually coaches that accompany their fighter and act as a second pair of eyes for their fighter since they have a different perspective than the person in the ring. The cut man is sometimes an experienced trainer and/or a former fighter that has experience with dealing with open cuts, gashes, swelling and bruising that a fighter sometimes absorbs through the course of a fight. There is more to it than just slapping on a cold enswell and a little vasoline and in pro boxing a good cut man is paid several thousand in a big fight.

I have only fought for one promotion, but in our case, they did not provide anything for the corner. You were to provide your cornerman and all necessary tools. If the injury was serious, they did have EMTs standing by, but your corner was your own.

SOMETIMES!

Don't count on it - your corner should bring all that for you.
