I am a Christian and I am waiting for Jesus to come and pick me up to heaven. But honestly, we Chrisitians have been waiting for him for so long and it doesn't seem like he is coming any time soon. If the day that I die and I find out that all about Jesus' second coming was a bluff I would be very dissapointed. What about the rest of you, will you be dissapointed the day you find out that Jesus will never come?

Jesus stated he'd return during the lifetime of his apostles. He's running a bit behind.

Frankly I have to say I doubt you're really a Christian. Mainly because if you were, you would know God doesn't lie; or at the very least you would respect Him enough not to ask such an absurd question.
But there is one thing you touched on which is absolutely true. Some day you will die and for you anyways, that will be the end of the world.

I would be disappointed if I am still alive and I don't get to see the Second Coming. But I am so excited for the day that I pass from this Earth and meet my Savior with a big hug and a kiss. I know I will see Him, no doubt about that. It's just a matter of when. God's love is all around us. We just need to pay a little closer attention when He says hi.

I have too much evidence to know that there are no doubts with Christ.

As far as Him coming again, I don't dwell on it. I don't know the day, Jesus Himself doesn't even know the day.

It could be tomorrow, it could be a thousand lifetimes from now.

When I die and see my Saviours face, no I will not be dissapointed and I know beyond a shadow of a doubt, I will be seeing Him.

If and that's a big IF what you hypothesize is true, I would not be disappointed. Christianity has made me a better person who cares deeply about others. I have been a better father because of it and have had a richer life. If it's all a hoax I have still had a richer life because of it.

But, it is not a hoax and that's the richest blessing.

Thy Kingdom come, thy will be done on Earth as it is in heaven. You don't need to die to experience heaven. God's Kingdom comes to Earth. And Jesus Christ will return eventually so hang in there.

Keep your faith. You will find your answers in the bible or at church r from your fellow Christian friends. Don't put any merit into the nonsense these non Christians are putting on Yahoo answers. Get in touch with your soul and Jesus. God bless.

Maxie,
A "true Christian" would never question whether HE is going to come but he/she might be excited about HIS SECOND COMING. I personally do not care when HE comes. I will be among the saved and I hope to take all of my family with me. Have a nice week.
Thanks,
Eds

Shame on you.

If in this life only we have hope in Christ, we are of all men most miserable. - 1Cor 15:19

The second coming is the most strongly attested to event in the Bible.

Incidentally, I am anticipating a rapture any day now.
