There are days when I would say, "No, it's part of life and blah blah blah."
However some days, I think about it, I mean I REALLY think about it and it scares me a little...okay a lot. The inevitability of it can almost induce a panic attack. I am a Christian and know where I'm going, but still...will it hurt? will I be alone? will I have my crap together? will my children still be so young as to need me?
Great, I've started freaking myself out again!

Just think of it as the last big adventure. Or a really long nap.
There will either be something after death, in which case it'll be interesting to find out what, don't you think?
Or there won't be anything--in which case, freaking out won't make a bit of difference, so you may as well just enjoy the life you have while you have it.
The part I don't like about it is that I'll miss the familiar things down here on earth. Going Somewhere Else won't be what I'm used to.

No...the longer I've lived and the more I've seen of the world, the better I understand why He considered it a "vale of tears" that one should rejoice in leaving when one's mission/path here was done.
It is not pleasant, after having a good meal, to realize that there are uncountable little 5 year old boys and girls curled up somewhere with stomachs aching with hunger...and dying.
I'm glad my time is coming to an end and to know there is a place where there are no more tears or pain...and the rememberance of all such is wiped away...

I don't plan on dying. Someday I will leave this body behind and continue my journey without it. Who knows, maybe I'll miss it so much I'll just have to get myself a new one. Maybe I'll spend 20 lifetimes as an ant (probably wouldn't take that long), I've always thought the whole hive mentality was interesting. Have fun with that dying thing though, let me know how it works out for you.

It used to freak me out big time, as I was also full of other unreasonable fears, too many to name, but now I understand death to be a transition. A metamorphosis. Bodies change but personality is retained. I thought I had died on several occasions as I found myself outside my body, yet fully conscious and you talk about freaked out! Sheeesh! Once I got a grip though, I somehow turned my fear to fascination and became so curious about this experience, I began reading others stories on this topic of OBE. (out of body experience) It is like trying to describe the color pink to a blind man, but experience is the best teacher, and I feel our unfathomable, mysterious, astounding grand adventure of life has just begun, and to this I add, you ain't seen nothing yet!
So...........Never too late for Courage which allows Unconditional Love to unfold itself in you
Peace

Not every day. I certainly don't like the idea, but since there is nothing I can do about it, I see no reason to waste what life I have in worrying about it. I'm an atheist, so I know there is nothing beyond this life, so I make the most of it.

No not at all. We know we're going to, that isn't scary... It's a part of the revolving world, we can't live forever and we aren't immortal. Besides who would want to live forever and see the constant wars of today

What's even weirder is that in 100 years, we'll ALL be dead! HA!!
The world passes on all it's information and has a complete turnover of its occupants every century or so. Fascinating.
