I am getting married in September and my Grandpa is walking me down the aisle. He is such a great person and so special to me. I am having a hard time finding a song for us to dance to at the reception. Any ideas?

Grandpa by The Judds is a wonderful song, just makes you wanna cry everytime I hear it but is a great tune for a slow dance. Congrats on the upcoming wedding! : )

That is such a sweet question--you make me cry. I did not have a dad or a grandpa at my wedding. But I played that song--dance with my father again by Luther Vandross while we walked down the aisle. It made me feel good to think about him even if the audience may have not understood the meaning. Hmmm. If I could realistically do that I would not--because my family is not the touchy -huggy dance type, but if they were and my dad were still alive I would have to play a song from the Lawrence Whelk Show, b/c he watched those re-runs ever Saturday night and I bet he would like one of those.

I agree with "Grandpa, tell me about the good old days" by the Judd's. My friend's daughter danced with her Grandfather to this song at her wedding reception. Really pretty and emotional song.
