Sir, if you really seek the truth you should read some books that tell the side other than what you have been taught, like Tornado in a Junk Yard by James Perloff or The Signature of God, because you've clearly been taught lies.

Isaiah 40:22 It is He who sits above the circle of the earth, and it's inhabitants are like grasshoppers, who stretches out the heavens like a curtain, and spreads them out like a tent to dwell in.

I would also like to add that this was clearly in a time when scientists did not know the world was round. Just one more argument for the Bible in my book!

Sorry, this makes no sense to me?!?

Forgiving your misspelling ... I know of none of those spoken of in the Bible, believing that the World was flat.

Most folk (believers or non-believers) thought the World to be flat in this time period. Much like the common day belief that the Moon landing was not true in this day and age. It happened in a studio! I think not! Many also believe in the hollow Earth theory. Nuts!

You need to study more before you Ask, me thinks! Nice try though!

You should not quote the Bible unless you can give chapter and verse altho I am guilty sometimes of doing that. The Bible does not say the world is flat. It talks about the "circle" of the earth ( don't know chap and verse).
Many people hear something supposedly from the Bible and believe it is in there when it isn't. That's why you should always ask for a Bible reference.

He sits enthroned above the circle of the earth, and its people are like grasshoppers. He stretches out the heavens like a canopy, and spreads them out like a tent to live in. (Isaiah 40:22)
"He has inscribed a circle on the surface of the waters, At the boundary of light and darkness." (Job 26:10)

I have not read any verse in the bible that claim the earth is flat. Can you give me the verse where you get it?

The Bible claim the earth as circle.
Isaiah 40:22
He sits enthroned above the circle of the earth, and its people are like grasshoppers. He stretches out the heavens like a canopy, and spreads them out like a tent to live in.

Please read the Bible carefully and seriously.

Psalms 103:12 -As far as the east if from the west, He has removed our sins away from us.
Isn't it ironic that this particular Psalms uses east and west to describe what God does to our sins? It so happens the distance between east/west is infinite, where as the distance between north and south is finite.
During the time the bible was written men assumed the world was flat; but apparently someone knew it wasn't

Where does it say that? It's not in my Bible. Tell me, did you actually bother to read the Bible yourself? Or are you just another of one of those many anti-Christian propagandists who purposely misread the Bible and spread slander?

I'm glad you aren't Christian, but I think you should make your arguments a little more sophisticated. You aren't going to convert anyone like that...
But I agree with your point that the bible is almost completely made up.

One, the Bible doesn't say the world is flat. You're lying, and everyone here knows it.

Two, are you saying that if someone gets one thing wrong, they could never be right about anything else? If you think that way, you must be a Muslim.

Three, God commanded us, "Thou shalt not bear false witness against thy brother." But you think it's OK to bear false witness against God Himself??? Now I KNOW you're a Muslim!
