The "other sheep" that Jesus referred to in John 10:16 were those that traveled to and settled in the American hemisphere 600 B.C. From them and their descendants, including the gentiles, are those that the Lord meant in His statement.

After His resurrection, the Christ visited the peoples, called the Nephites, in the New World and taught them His Gospel and set up disciples to carry on in His absence. From this great event sprang the numerous Indian legends and myths of a great White God that came down and taught all the Nations.

Peter denied Jesus 3 times, Peter's is doomed, for Jesus said deny me and I will deny you. Many will attempt to make this verse mean something totally different.

Jesus knew that Peter would betray him, Jesus even went as far as to tell Peter that Satan would sift him like wheat. Recall Jesus told Peter that the hour of temptation was upon them. and that they should keep watch, but Peter fell asleep, twice.

The lambs are those who die because they would not worship the serpent, and heeded the testimony of Jesus.

The 1st sheep are those that are lost because they followed the serpent, the false Christ, they need saving (salvation), and they have Eternal Life.

The 2nd sheep is us, all of us, the Jews, the Gentile, and the unbelievers, those who are touched by God the Father, because we prayed to Him, in the name of Jesus, for we have Grace, and Everlasting Life

Jesus is compared to a pastor in the Bible. A pastor takes care of the sheep and leads them where they are supposed to go. He takes care of them. So the sheep mentioned there are the people that follow him and that believe in him. And he is leading them.

I always thought that he meant the Gentiles:
not of this fold
them also I must bring
there shall be one fold and one shepherd

At the most general, he is speaking of all those who are not yet Christians.
