I am a Christian.

No. I will not try to convert you.

If you don't have God guiding you to Him, its out of my hands.

God only wants certain people. Jesus made that clear: He doesn't want everybody. Those that WANT to come to God have the " ears to hear and eyes to see". If you don't have that, then you ain't got it.

EDIT: I knew that you were full of it.

Hi! My best argument is this, read about Jesus, ask for help, and you will get it. Nothing more, nothing less. And if you wanted me to argue, I would not. We have free will, all I can do really, it point you in the right direction. Just so it is said, I am no member in any church, I never attend in no church either, well for funerals, I may go, but that is it. Why? I find the churches, and all organized religion as a bunch of greedy vultures, none of them seems to take the bible any serious anyway. We (christians) have 10 easy rules, picked them up on a mountain or something like that. Well, one of the ten "rules" is you shall keep the Sabbath holy! It is a Saturday! How funny it is that the pope made all follow him, just as the pope introduced Mr. Satan for the very first time in the year, wait for it, oh yeah, year 666! Ha ha ha, so I would recomend you find your own answers dear. Read the new Testament, with some open mind, take and think it over, Jesus never talked about holy war, that is for sure, but he spend a lot of time talking about love, respect and forgivness, something the church don`t seems to care to much about. Some famous last words before I stop. It helped me, I was the opposite, for over 20 years. When I come back, my life changed, to the better. I am no saint, long way from that, but I try to be open and nice, possitive and full of love, instead of what I was, negative and full of rage against all, and everything. A big change yes. Have a great summer, good luck, peace and love from Norway

The fact is that the Bible has not been rewritten. Take the New Testament, for example. The disciples of Jesus wrote the New Testament in Greek and though we do not have the original documents, we do have around 6,000 copies of the Greek manuscripts that were made very close to the time of the originals. These various manuscripts, or copies, agree with each other to almost 100 percent accuracy. Statistically, the New Testament is 99.5% textually pure. That means that there is only 1/2 of 1% of of all the copies that do not agree with each other perfectly. But, if you take that 1/2 of 1% and examine it, you find that the majority of the "problems" are nothing more than spelling errors and very minor word alterations. For example, instead of saying Jesus, a variation might be "Jesus Christ." So the actual amount of textual variation of any concern is extremely low. Therefore, we can say that we have a remarkably accurate compilation of the original documents.

Religion isn't a popularity contest. God gave us all brains and free will; He won't make you worship Him, nor can I. You must listen to the word of God and and use your God-given brain to sort out the parts that man has contorted. It's almost unbelievable some of the truth-stretching I've heard just within Christian denominations, much less what's being said about Jews and Muslims. I personally don't believe in bashing another's faith. I don't believe that being Jewish or Muslim makes you evil, but I do believe that you can live your whole life as an otherwise "good person" who has chosen to turn their back on God, or one who has twisted His words to suit your own cause, and wind up in Hell. Read and hear the word of God, and decide for yourself what to believe, but remember, the right beliefs aren't always the easiest.

Ravi Zacharias:
Consider these four pillars—eternity, morality, accountability, charity. Jesus said this: that He was with the Father from the beginning. He was uncreated. This Old Testament prophet said, “Unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given.” Notice the words. He didn’t say the son is born. The son never was born; the son eternally existed, and came as a child of a virgin birth. And then in His perfect life, His death and His resurrection, He embodied what it meant to be moral, for what evil is to life, contradiction is to reason. When an argument is contradictory, the argument breaks down. When evil enters your life, life breaks down. He embodied that which was purity without sin. Accountability said, “I’ve come to do the will of my Father.” And Charity went to the Cross. Even Mahatma Gandhi said this, “Of all the dispositions and teachings of thinkers and ethicists, the one doctrine that I have no sufficient counter for is Jesus on that Cross.” Think about it. He offers it to you and to me. To give us a sense of the eternal, to give us the moral, to give us the accountable, and to give us the charitable. And He arose again from the dead to guarantee that.

I believe in Jesus Christ he is the son of God he died for my sins. I repented and was babtised. There are a lot of people who have tried to change the Bible cause they dont like the truth and they dont want the truth to be told. Nobody has changed the Quran because there's no truth in it. Same reason nobody changes a comic book

You don't have to belong to any faith or religion, just believe in what feels right to you.

And in response to kait's post:

How you became a top contributor, I will never know. Jesus, salvation, whatever. Remember that Christians consider a person "sinning" when they are homosexual, or even when they simply don't believe in Jesus, or any other of your beliefs. Many Christians (not all) are crazy enough to say that Christianity is the only religion and all others will go to hell. I am Jewish myself, and I believe that my religion is right, but I am accepting of other religions. Before you make any other judgements about what religion is "perfect", try to open up your mind.

Matthew 5:7
"Blessed are the merciful, for they shall receive mercy.

Does this mean anything to you, if it does maybe you can hear and maybe you can believe.

Who's voice is this?
Matthew 5:44
"But I say to you, love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you,

2 Corinthians 13:11
Finally, brethren, rejoice, be made complete, be comforted, be like-minded, live in peace; and the God of love and peace will be with you.

Galatians 5:13
For you were called to freedom, brethren; only do not turn your freedom into an opportunity for the flesh, but through love serve one another.

Oneness of God....as comes across from Islam:

The Throne Verse (Ayat Al Kursi)...Qu'ran 2:255:
"In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful.
Allah! There is no God but He,
the Living, the Self-subsisting, the Eternal.
No slumber can seize Him, nor sleep.
All things in heaven and earth are His.
Who could intercede in His presence without His permission?
He knows what appears in front of and behind His creatures.
Nor can they encompass any knowledge of Him except what he wills.
His throne extends over the heavens and the earth,
and He feels no fatigue in guarding and preserving them,
for He is the Highest and Most Exalted.
Allah, the Most High, speaks the truth."
Qu'ran 2:255

God (Allah) promised to preserve the Qu'ran, and this has been so:

"We have, without doubt, sent down the Message; and We will assuredly guard it (from corruption). " [Qu'ran 15:09]

"That this is indeed a qur'an Most Honourable, In a Book well-guarded, Which none shall touch but those who are clean: A Revelation from the Lord of the Worlds. "
[Qu'ran 56:77-80]

Islam gives such reverance to Jesus (peace be upon him) and Mary (peace be upon her), as well as Muhammad (peace be upon him). Plus all other biblical Prophets are acknowledged (peace be upon them all). A whole chapter of the Qu'ran is devoted to Mary (peace be upon her), the mother of the Messiah Jesus (peace be uon him). This is Surah 19 (Maryam (Mary)). You might also like to read:

In addition to the Miracle of the Qu'ran itself, the Qu'ran is also full of scientific miracles. Revelations that were given 1400 years ago but have only come to light in recent years by scientists.

The Oneness of Allah subhana wa ta'ala is such a wonderful thing...so simplistic and logical...no sons, no partners...All Glory belongs to the One and Only Almighty Allah subhana wa ta'ala (God...Glorious and High is He).

There is no God but God...La ilaha illa Allah.

May Allah continue to guide you towards the straight path and may peace be with you.
