Like act like it's spraying? Have her tail up and curved at the middle and shake her tail as if she's spraying?

My (female) cat does the same thing- no actual spraying, though, just looks like she might-when she's scared. Most often during a thunderstorm. My Vet said its just a thing they do =)

Females spray too--but I've ONLY seen it done by really frustrated cats in heat. The stuff isn't anywhere near as smelly as a male tom cat's spray, and it's much, much oilier.

haha. that's funny that you ask because my female cat does the same thing. I don't know if it's because she's in heat or what but I noticed it years ago. She's now six years old and still does it! i guess some are unusually weird.

I have 2 females that are spayed and still do that. Not sure why but they aren't hurting anything and both are healthy. She is probably trying to mark her territory.
