You need to talk with him about this. Let him know that you care about him and don't like to see him all bruised up like that.

Let him know that anything he tells you will stay between you two. If he does admit that it's his parents, you might recommend that he talk to somone that can help him.

Give him his space if he doesn't want to discuss it, but be there for him regardless.

What would you want someone to do for you! He would definately need other living arrangements. I would try acting quickly, maybe do an annonymous call to the hospital. Just ask the person/operator whomever answers the phone who could you talk to about a friend being abused at his home, and take it from there. Be brave, and know that doing this quickly while he's in crutches, could me anyone reported it, even the hospital, you don't have to mention it to anyone but yahoo supporters. Good Luck! I am glad he has you, but you are doing a selfless act, go forward. This should only be handled by the professionals.

Certainly would put a red flag on this one. Perhaps he needs someone to confide in, and you may be just the person. There are plenty of services available for victims of abuse and maybe you can help direct him to some. Nobody, and I repeat nobody has the right treat another human like that, especially a parent against a child. Best of luck to you both.

Ummm, this signals a red flag. This will be a tough one because he probably wont come out and tell you. Sit and talk with him , let him know he can trust you , not by words , by showing him. Maybe he will give a few clues here and there. How old is he ? What do you intend on doing if you find out he is being abused ? I would talk to a counselor(in confidence) at school and see what he/she has to say . Good luck and God bless

i do believe in discipline but i do not believe in leaving marks on a child or breaking bones. There are many ways to discipline without beating or hitting. how old is he? I would call child protective services. u can remain annoynmous. if u care about him....do something cause kids r killed everyday in the hands of abusive parents

All you can do at this point is tell him that you are there for him, no matter what.
And let him know he can trust you.

There could be one other explanation that I just thought of; some people do have a condition where they just bruise easily. I would hope this is his problem.

Just try to get him to open up to you, it would probably help if he could just have someone to talk to about it.

I really hope it isn't as bad as it seems :(

You should really talk to him about it and think about having your parents call child protective services. Even if he would be mad at you right now he would be thankin you soon.

It sounds like it is definately child abuse. You may not want to pry into his life, but you should ask him about it...and support him so he can get help.
