My cousin's friend is allergic to water. What does she bathe in??

So,my cousin's friend is allergic to water. Can someone please tell me what she bathes in??

I know that she's allergic to water because once my cousin got her wet and she couldn't breathe well. Her mom had to take her to the hospital.

There is no cure for aquagenous urticaria (as its called) (allergic to water). The only relief for your cousins friend is a special barrier foam developed in Sweden that stops water from touching her skin. She has to apply it every four hours so it can give her freedom to do basic things — like taking a shower!
This means she is allergic to her self and if she cries, bleeds etc, it will make her skin blotchy.


only about 30 people in the whole world have the condition, so either she is one of thirty or she's faking it/lying to you.

Is that even possible? Well I don't see why not because I guess we can have allergic reactions to everything. But to be allergic to such a necessary substance is pretty hard to believe. I've never heard of a water allergy before. But if I were allergic to water, I would bathe in some type of oil probably and wear a lot of deodorant

This is really bizarre! Most of our body is made up of water.

Chances are she is allergic to something commonly in the water, (eg chlorine, used to disinfect it) and so while allergic to tap water, can use purified or distilled water.

She may be allergic to chlorine not water. She may not be able to swim in pools. I don't know about bathing. But there is treatment for the chlorine.

are you sure she is really allergic to the water?? Maybe she is allergic to the minerals in it such as chlorine. Our bodies are partly made up of water so i seriously doubt that she could be allergic to it, we also need it to survive

She is definitely not allergic to pure water, but what is in the water-sulfur, minerals,chlorine(biggest offender) toxins-lead, mercury, arsenic, cadmium, and so on. The pH of water can very from slightly acidic to slightly alkaline and this may cause her problems.
