so, i wanna be able to sing well, but i don't want to practice because i suck at singing and don't want people to hear me.

it's impossible to keep away from people at all times and when you go off by yourself there's always a chance someone will intrude on you and then you're caught singing when you can't really sing and shouldn't be singing at all.

for me personally, my voice is usually the same tone most of the time, i think. and when i sing it's particularly difficult to hit high notes.

can you guys help?

It's very possible to learn to sing well. You just need to know the right methods. Learn here https://bitly.im/aLVu8

Singing teachers will cost money and can be expensive so they're not for everyone. Singing can be learned so it's not an "either you have it or you don't" kind of thing.

Whether you sound like crap or you're decent, I recommend this singing course. It's one of the best methods to learn to sing well in a short amount of time. It's all about using efficient techniques that work.

sorry but you have to practice to get better. You don't learn by osmosis. Singing is a talent, it has to be practiced. If you think that you suck that bad, maybe you should reconsider singing?

You need to practice. Practice will make you better so you can sing in front of people. Get lessons.

If you're really serious about it, I suggest taking voice lessons. The only person that hears you is your tutor. It might seem awkward at first, but you'll get comfortable after a few sessions. =)

Pretend to practice then you can pretend to sing for pretend people.

Yeah. Sing a solo. You know so low nobody can hear you. Or you can keep your mouth shut!

The only factor you have omitted is breathing. I have taught voice since 1971. I strongly suggest you stop breathing immediately. This will help ALL of us, not just you.

If you keep singing in the shower & in your car by yourself, you'll probably keep improving in your own mind. Please don't audition for American Idol.
