That may work for a in dash CD changer head unit, but not a remote mounted CD changer. In case you haven't tried this... There usually is a RESET button somewhere near the slot where the CD magazine is inserted. It is a little hole that you can fit a paper clip in to push a hidden button. If you have already tried this, or that changer does not have a button, you will need something like a narrow long putty knife. Maybe even a slim-jim would work. There is a mechanical release to the CD changer either on the top or bottom of the magazine.
Slide the knife in between the magazine and the changer all the way toward one side and straight in. Then gently slide the knife toward the other side and up toward you. Like trying to "hook" something in there.
You may have to try this on top and bottom, and starting from either side. I have never not had this work. Sometimes you will have to help the CD's slide back into the magazine so the cartridge will slide out.
Good Luck!

hold another CD up to the one that is stuck. Put the CD you are holding, slightly under the one in the changer, but hold on to it.

Eject the CD, and it will slide out (on top of the CD you are holding).

A lot of times simply removing the unit, unplugging if from its power connection, and reconnecting it after several seconds usually resets the basic functions, and the CD should eject.
Hope it does, at least.
