Only God judges salvation, because only He is just.

I guess, in the end, it doesn't matter what I think about whether or not Mormons and Jehovah Witnesses go to hell. God will be their judge. I will say that there are several things in both faiths I don't agree with, but I will leave the heaven or hell thing to God, where it belongs.

No. As Christians, our job is not to convert/condemn other people; we are called to pray for them. There is even calamity in Christianity. There are Protestants, Baptists, Greek Orthodox, Roman Catholic, Episcopal, and many more, and all of them think they are the better faith. Not to sound vain or cocky in any way, shape or form, but Catholic is the closest think to the Bible because we don't leave anything out aside from woman deacons. We believe we are the chosen faith of God. If you don't believe in God, you won't necessarily go to hell as long as you live a generous and positive life.

The only way to get to Heaven is by grace through faith alone. So, JWs and Mormons will not go to Heaven. JWs and Mormons add works to the list. Works will not get you into Heaven. Good people do not go to Heaven. Bad people who have repented of their bad sins and put their faith in Jesus Christ go to Heaven.

Boris: This is what I am talking about. Do you think you are a good person? You probably do. There's a test we can give to see if you're a good person. Have you ever told a lie? If you have, you are a liar. Even a small or harmless lie is a lie. Have you ever in your life used God's name in vain? It's called blasphemy, using the name of your Creator as a cuss word. Have you ever lusted after a person as to look at them sexually? That's adultery of the heart. I shouldn't have to go any further. I've never met anyone who hasn't lied in their entire life.

So if you are guilty of breaking any of the Ten Commandments (lying, blaspheming, lusting, etc.) you are a sinner. You may think you are a good person, but God sees you as someone who has broken the laws he has set down for mankind. God doesn't let any lawbreaker or any law broken free. When you die, you have to give an account to that. You can apologize all you want, but that's like standing before a judge when the judge reads what you've been committed of and apologizing. He will appreciate all the good things you've done, sure. But a good judge can't let criminals go unpunished. So, being the just judge of the universe, he would send you to Hell.

Jesus died on a cross so that you wouldn't have to go to Hell. Jesus didn't die for good people. He died for the sinners. They are none good but God. In fact, if there is any good in me, it is by the grace of God. Jesus saves those who repent because they have confessed to their sins, and he does grant forgiveness. But we must do that now on Earth. Again, you can apologize in front of God, but that wouldn’t change anything. It’s like somebody walking into a courtroom paying for a fine that would somehow get you out of prison. But if you’re already dead (let’s say from death penalty), it’s too late. Jesus paid that fine for you. You must take it while you can. He will accept those into Heaven who repent and put their faith in Him.

I do believe that people of other faiths will go to hell because there is one path to Heaven. The Bible itself says so. It's unfortunate and it sucks because some of my most best friends follow other faiths and knowing that they will go to hell if they don't change--well, it's not easy to think about.

Believing someone will go to hell for following another faith isn't judging. It's believing what we are told by God (or whatever god we worship).

Well, I may believe in God, but to me - someone like Ghandi, shouldn't go to hell. So many people of so many different faiths have done so many wonderful, beautiful things, and really contributed to life - anyone who says "hello" to you, saves you a seat on a bus, holds the elevator for you, makes you smile, or laugh - they deserve to go to heaven. Maybe that's "wrong" or "incorrect" to very strict people within this faith and I may be a bit naive but it's what I honestly think about all that. Good question by the way!

faith is the confident assurance of things not seen. we cannot "know" that others of different faiths are hell bound. that is the result of a logical progression within the faith. i do not want to believe anyone is going to suffer, that is what the sources indicate as happening when some choose to reject God or his instruction. what i "feel" is irrelevant when living for God, faith is a selfless act. basically you are asked to ignore and reject your inclinations, motives, and aspirations and replace them with ideas that glorify God. the faith that has been handed down is not lacking on repudiation or admonishment for those who blaspheme God or practice evil and hell is the believed consequence according to God's word.
hell is an existence apart from God by ones own choice, and these have chosen to reject the historical truths of the faith, which means they essentially have rejected God and substituted Him for a counterfeit god, one who suits their own belief system.

Oh Cindy,
You know most people don't want to "think" that a loving God could possibly justify sending people to hell. What they don't understand is that the reason there is a heaven and a hell is because God is just. It's a lack of wanting to take responsibility for actions. Of course people who do not accept Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior will go to hell when they die.

The difference between Christianity and all other religions is that all other religions believe they can "earn" their way to heaven by doing "good deeds". Many false religions also claim to be "Christianity" and use the term "Jesus" but in fact is NOT the Jesus in the Bible.
Whereas Christianity believes that Jesus IS GOD.
"In the beginning was the Word, (Jesus) and the Word was with God, and the Word (Jesus) was God. He was with God in the beginning. Through him all things were made; without him nothing was made that has been made. In him was life, and that life was the light of men. The light shines in the darkness, but the darkness has not understood it." John 1:1-5)
"Jesus answered, "I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me." John 14:6
Jesus bore our sin in His body on the cross and has given us the opportunity to accept his free gift of eternal life. (Because we are all sinners) "For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God, and are justified freely by his grace through the redemption that came by Christ Jesus." Romans 3:23-24
"If we claim to be without sin, we deceive ourselves and the truth is not in us. If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness. If we claim we have not sinned, we make him out to be a liar and his word has no place in our lives." 1 John 1:8

"For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith—and this not from yourselves, it is the gift of God not by works, so that no one can boast." Ephesians 2:8-9

"I write these things to you who believe in the name of the Son of God so that you may know that you have eternal life." 1 John 5:13

I hope this helps! I prayed for you! Hugs!

Take Solomon, for instance, Israel's most famous kin. From his dying gather, David, he received this Wise counsel: "Solomon my son, know the God of your father, and serve him with a whole heart and with a willing mind; for the Lord searches all hearts, and understands every plan and thought. If you seek him, he will be found by you; but if you forsake him, he will cast you off for ever." (1 Chronicles 28:9.)

I would encourage ALL faiths to read and study the Bible. Let's just be Christians. Best I can tell, Biblically, that's all the New Testament church was...Christians. I'm not qualified to say who's going where. Don't know anybody on earth that is.
