He's 16 so he can decide where he wants to live.
Most lawyers will give a half hour free advice so go to one and find out where you stand but I'm almost certain he can decide for himself right now where he'll live.I know he's old enough to speak up in court but I don't think it would have to come to that.
He simply stays with you after the summer is over.
Your mother may not be too happy but it sounds as though it would certainly be in your brothers best interests to stay with you.
Call around for a lawyer who'll give you the free advice.
Good Luck.

I would get your local version of Child Protection Services in on this with you. They will investigate and make a recommendation one way or another. You can also go thru a lawyer, but that is very expense and CPS will go thru courts for you and your brother. My wife & I took custody of my brother thru CPS He was approx the same age. But that was 40 yrs ago.

I tihnk if you got a lawer and your little brother wanted to move in with you ity would be possible. I think by the time you're 16 you can choose a lot of things like that. (I am pretty sure anyway, you might want to look into it.)

Only thing I can tell you to do is call the cops. Explain what's going on and see how they can help. That's all I can think of. I'm very sorry. You could try having a really long talk but i doubt that will help.

you will need to call social services.tell them he could live with you.they will check out the living arrangments and remove him from the home.i would call a lawyer first to see how you could gain custody of him before going to social services so he wont have to be in a foster home first.

At 16, he can move out and she can't say anything about it. He might have to go through social services, and she might try to make his life hell to get him to come back, but he can get a restraining order if it gets bad. He can also talk to his guidance counsellor to get some help.

maybe try talking to a lawyer I think the initial visit is free of charge not sure tho. I would think that is the first step. Ask some questions find out what can you do.
