Fantastic baits!

Rapala has a site with Pro fishing tips with their baits. If you are intersted in seeing them, this link will take you there:

Agree with everyone, Rapala is an excellent choice of lure. Personal favorite is the original, three hook, gold rapala. Jointed rapala is a close second. Silver or gold are a great choice.

Rapalas are a good versital lure for a number speicies. I've had really good luck on walleyes with them including a 30"er. I like to use them at night on shallow flats.Work it slow so it just barely doesn't make a wake. I personally like the jointed #9 or 11 in fire tiger color but you should have luck with most colors. You can also work it on the surface for bass. Throw it out let it float up the pull it just enough to make it go under then let it come back up. Continue this all the way back or until a bass smacks it. I also once caught a big catfish reeling it back around some lillypads. GOOD LUCK!!!

If you bought a floating rapala it should be good for early morning and towards evening .....my luck has been using it as a shallow diving lure, if you are fishing summer mid-day you will need to get your lure down deeper so, you might want to consider buying a sinking rapala or go with a crank-bait meant to be fished deeper....don't know why but bass/pike love that chartreuse color.......

Rapala is one of the older French Lure Mfg. and well known to give good products. I use several of their lures and caught fish on each of them.

Rapala can be good sometimes but i dont generally fish with them. i use a variety of lures like heddon brand stuff and a lot of soft plastics. rapala never produced what i thought it would.

Rapala has been in the fishin' business since the beginin' of time (slight exaggeration ;) ) and their lures are performers! The Original Floater in Shad color (silver) is the work-horse for me when I use them ;)...

Rapalas work great. I use em alot for trout trolling when the water temp. isn't to warm and the trout are within 8 feet of the surface. No downrigger needed.
