"heir to christ" was running around earlier . . . he's got some doozies, that boy. I suspect he's practicing.
Now, me, I'm more inclined to tell stories about the "Other People" (the ones who didn't "fall" and don't have sin and like being naked) or the story of Teutoberg Wald, where Hermann of the Cherusci sacrificed three entire Roman Legions to Odhinn . . . not quite what most people mean by "sermon," lol.

If you could be convinced that you only had five years to live, and that you could either continue on living the way you are, but when the five years was up, your life was all over, kaput, done, or you were equally convinced that you could live forever, but in order to do that, you would have to change your ways, would you think about it for a while?
Oh and the place that you would be living in would be without pain, diseases, hatred, violence, crime, war, and all the other senseless, evil things that happen to men and women. No waiting lines, no bankruptcies, no pollution. Like the planet Earth without the filth.
Would you believe a miracle if you saw one?

Religion is about how man gets to god/enlightenment etc. But Christianity is about how God got to you and He did it in the most amazing way through His Son Jesus Christ. It isn't so much about right and wrong as it is about humility and pride. God doesn't want you to get religious, He wants you to get real, get a relationship with Him. You don't have to repress yourself trying to be good. You have to repent, recognize you can't do it on your own, you need His help. Invite Him into your heart. We're all desperately insecure trying to find happiness. There is only one lasting eternal happiness. God loves you so much that he died for you. Like a boy at the eighth grade dance, he walked across the empty dance floor while everyone stared to invite you to dance with him. He risked everything to get to you. Will you accept his invitation?

1 Peter 3:1-4
Likewise, ye wives, be in subjection to your own husbands; that, if any obey not the word, they also may without the word be won by the conversation of the wives; [2] While they behold your chaste conversation coupled with fear. [3] Whose adorning let it not be that outward adorning of plaiting the hair, and of wearing of gold, or of putting on of apparel; [4] But let it be the hidden man of the heart, in that which is not corruptible, even the ornament of a meek and quiet spirit, which is in the sight of God of great price.
