Is your cat a "Free Range Cat" ???

2007-07-25 13:45:31 · 22 answers · asked by dave777 4 in Pets Cats

""If curiosity killed the cat, why are there so many of them still running around causing trouble ?"

Quite apparently - to Aggravate You !!

I keep only one furbaby at a time, and they are allways pure bred, and I love them to pieces.
They are my precious babies, and are Never allowed outside.

If you don't like Cats, then perhaps it is best to Not mention it here in the "Cat Section" ;-)"

IF YOU COULD SEA MY KITTY AVATAR, U WOULD KNOW THAT I AM A CAT.

Cats start early, they do it frequently and they don't stop until someone makes them.

If all our cats are inside becoming psychotic from chasing laser pointer dots, how long before we are taken over by mice, shrews, voles and rats?

Just asking, don't throw anything. "

I am not against cats, I R 1.

"I figure if all of us call long enough, your kitty will show up sooner or later! LOL!"

yahoo has selfishly decided to dump their picture server, causing all of this pane.

Just wait till mid Sep.

" I don't have a cat...free range or otherwise.

Maybe because of that 9 lives thing....Curiosity has to kill the cat 9 times before it's really dead...Maybe curiosity gives up after the first 7 or 8 times."

( pssst... me thinks that is an olde cat's tail )

As GOD's Kitty would say >>> "Meows"

Edit...I did like your cat avatar too...it made you just want to pet the cat.(I like any cat that will let me pet him/her).

Mine are indoor only, and are satisfied. But many people think cats that roam the streets do well, because they see so many of them. Well, they do, but they usually do not see the same ones, as life on the streets is often short and terrible. They see the replacements, as cats are prolific breeders. So to many people seeing a cat from a distance, they all look alike.

At least cats do not run in packs like dogs.........

9 lives?
Curiosity may have killed the cat but satisfaction brought him back. Or a t least that's the retort I've heard many times.

My cats always stay inside where they only get stepped on and not run over.

Because people dump them, they become feral, and breed like flies.

I no longer have cats because of allergies (although I'm still tempted every time I see a kitten that needs a home). When I did have cats, my spayed and neutered darlings were smart enough to not get run over in the street, so they were "innie/outies." They lived into their teens.

"Curiosity Killed the Cat" is just a saying that people use to nicely tell others not to be too nosy, and the reason there are so many cats still running around is because of people not spaying and neutering their cats, so they breed and the owners let the new cats go, which is TOTALLY WRONG!!!!!!

Curiosity killed the cat
Satisfaction brought it back

Yes, my cats are free ranging ( also neutered and fully vaccinated - they're doing rather well for a bunch of stray no hope rescue kitties)

Well they do have 9 lives to go through, but both my cats are strickly indoor cats. It's too much of a risk nowa days to let your animals roam free. Not only do they anger neighbors, but unless they are properly vacinated, they are at great risk to catch feline luckemia and other uncureable diseases. At least if they are indoors, you know where they are and that they are safe.

Because there'a a never ending supply. I have a clowder of ferals[I like Free Rangers! I am changing their designation] that are uncountable but maintained in a style they have grown accustomed to, and 2 house cats who are innies. One is a resued feral and one is a rescued dog pounder.
