Does the Pope's proclaimation that 'there is substantial evidence supporting evolution' change your views?
i.e. 'evolution is fake'
'evolution is just a theory'
'evolution is Satan's work'

Not at all. I base my conclusions on science - ALL the science - and not just what has been filtered into school textbooks - this is why I don't believe in evolution theory.

I also don't agree with the pope on much of his theology.

By the way, God did not create evolution as a means of creating man. That would be completely unbiblical. The bible says there was NO DEATH until sin entered into the world. I'm sorry, but evolution doesn't work without the existence of death.

What the Pope says really does not matter, as I am Protestant. Besides that he is probably saying something different than Popes before him have said, so choose who you want to believe. In any event, you do not have to look only to the Vatican for Christian thought. Allow me:

Genesis appears to be describing God intervening in the evolutionary processes, after some great mass extinction had occurred. It says that God made the modern animals "after their kind." What does that mean? I take it to mean that he used the blueprint, the DNA structure of prehistoric animals to create similar animals genetically - our modern day animals.

Same thing for man, except the addition of creating man in the image of God, that is having a spiritual nature, to whereby communicate with God.

How come no credence from either side about what the Bible really says?

Unfortunately, creationists will not stop being creationists easily at all. Even though the pope said that, people will trust their local pastor over the pope since they know the pastor much better.

I just ask one other question:
How does people now classify Christians with different sects?

Baffles me, shouldn't the Bible be understood by all who believe?

The Bible says that God created man from the earth by SPEAKING it into existence. Woman came from Adam's rib.

Thus, evolution is not compatible or compliant with God.

Lesson done.

Not a bit. This pope has said a couple of silly things that I disagree with.

No.
I am not surprised at the official stance of the Vatican either. They are afraid that the rest of the congregation may reform. They want to remain popular with the world also.

Most Creationists are Protestants, so they won't listen to the Pope.

AS YOU CAN SEE,MANY OF THEM HAVE ALREADY CREATED A NEW RELIGION WHERE GOD MADE MANKIND THROUGH EVOLUTION...AND THE STORY GOES ON.IT'S PROBABLY A MATTER OF FEW YEARS TO WRITE A NEW BIBLE

God created evolution. It's that simple.
