Some people state that they were born with original sin and need to be redeemed. They are sure of it. I have no reason to doubt them .Just like I'm sure I was born with a clean slate and there is no reason for anyone to doubt it. (Please do not debate this in your answer as it will only show you don't listen when told the facts and make things up to suit yourself)

For all those with reading comprehension problems- The earth revolves around the sun, 2+2=4, I was born w/ a clean slate. Fact- not open to opinion.

despite all the denials of the true state of affairs, some people must have some ideas about this. Maybe God has special jobs for the different kinds of people - cleam and sin laden.

According to God's word as found in the Bible, we are all born with sin. We inherited it from Adam and Eve, the human race's original parents.

The wages sin pays is death. We will all die eventually and this will pay off the debt of sin. Only love of God's son, Jesus, can save us and allow us to be brought back to life. Love of Jesus means following the example he set during his life on earth as a human.

That is it in very simplified terms.

The fact that you are talking about sin and a clean slate, you must be basing this on something.

Now, the real question is whether or not you believe in the message found in the Bible.

IMO Every persons DNA has been corrupted from birth.
Without sin, you could not live. Adam ate the fruit. God knew the fruit had DNA altering ability so powerful that without the sin which infects all of us and eventually ends in physical death, we could not live. Without the salvation of God which is the spiritual power to resist the fleshly desire to sin, we could never inherit eternal life. God has made this plain and easy to see if you just believe everything that has been revealed in scripture. You just must believe ALL of it or you don't believe any of it. There is no middle ground.

If some people are born clean, why are we all required to be baptized? Baptism is supposed to 'cleanse' the soul.

I advise you to be baptized just in case you're wrong. If you are wrong you go to hell. If you're right than what does it matter?

You are in denial of the bible mate. Baptizm is required to get to Heaven. The only person born without sin was Jesus Christ himself. You cannot claim yourself to be divine.

And you have no right to insult everyone who disagrees with you. I ought to report you for this.

Nobody can be born with a clean slate, because everyone comes from Adam. The only way to get a clean slate is to receive the perfect sacrifice in Jesus.

I believe I was born with a clean slate. What I have found is that others believe that they were born with original sin because of the fall of Adam and Eve. :)

What? Where does it say that on my birth certificate? One or the other?
I'm Catholic,so I guess I don't know anything about a clean slate. The capacity for evil is demonstratably innate.

It's not that some people are born with one or the other, it's just that people believe different things about the inheritance of sin.

Sometimes fact & fiction often seem one and the same, which leaves the individual unsure where one stops and another begins. THis is the beginning of understanding when one understands this and begins to work from that point.

Wrong. I think it's YOU who don't see facts clearly. Nothing you've said is factual except that people STATE that they're either born with original sin, or they're not. It isn't a fact that they are...or you aren't.
