So I'm meeting my gf's parents for the first time soon. I really like her and I want this to work. I have never really felt this way towards anyone before and of course first opinions matter. I want them to like me...what can I do???

Don't go for a drink with her dad you cant win if you drink him under the table you rant suitable cos you drink too much and if he drinks you under the table you are still not suitable cos you cant hold your liquor. Oh another tip don't chat up her mum cos both dad and daughter will think you are unsuitable and don't even think about sisters younger or older cos the whole family will think you are unsuitable. Don't let me put you off Young man just be yourself if you have charmed your way into her heart the rest of the family will be no problem just be yourself

Bring flowers for her mom and don't worry about her dad his going to hate you regardless, your takeing his little girl remeber that. The flowers will cover the mom she'll love you after that. For her dad the only thing you can do is earn a little respect. Shake his hand firm and look him straight in the eyes when you greet him. Call him sir usually they'll say "call me ____" if not stick with the sir thing. You can go as far as holding hands with your girlfriend the first time in front of them but no rubbing or kissing, they'll think your only after one thing and then your done. Be honest, lie only if you must and have confidence in yourself and they'll respond. Most of all good luck.

Just be yourself and you will be fine bro. I met my g/f's parents and they still don't really like me for some reason but they are nice to me and always think of me and give my g/f food to give to me when she does go back home. Oh and they let her move out with me and gave us their blessing. Keep in mind they are Fillipino and I am white and her parents are old school too. She can call my parents by first name and its no problem but I have to call her parents Mr. and Mrs. it sucks but oh well whatever floats their boat.

Be nice, introduce yourself and offer to shake hands. Hand shaking is a sign of respect and how you respect her parents will be a sign of how you will respect their daughter. Ask questions about them and HONESTLY answer any questions they ask you (assuming they are appropriate). If they are inappropriate, tell them that you do not feel comfortable answering that question to someone you just met. Be honest, respectful, and offer to be helpful. Don't wig out about it or else you will really screw up.

depends, on her mum.. when you go there. look for a spotlight in the room, this is normally used for interigations...
in the background you might hear "your no good for my little princess" from her dad, while the mother asks you 382749247 questions a minute.
just joking.. be yourself.. parents will normally be pleasent to your face and s*** you off when your not there to their daughter.

Complement the mother, her clothes or her hair. Or just "now I know where she gets her looks." Find out what sports teams the dad likes and find out what's going on with them.

ask the mother if shes as good in bed as her daughter as you've always wondered how they remained married and faithful for so long as you always find it difficult but the mother will be pleased to know that you still think of her being young enough to still be sexually active lol

remember that her parents have been your age before, so they will know if you try to pull anything.
keep that in mind, and imagine what you would want if you had a daughter, then go from there.
