What makes the new King Ranch Expedition different and the most expensive than the other models, even the Limited? What specific things does it offer than the other models? And yes, I mean the Expedition, not the Super Duty or F-150. http://www.fordvehicles.com/suvs/expedition/

It seems almost the same as an Eddie Bauer, but is more expensive than a Limited.

the castano leather, of course.

options are about the same as the eddie bauer or the limited, but the saddle leather interior gives a different look. King Ranch is nearly always our top of the line for a certain vehicle, or right there equal with the top of the line.

the leather actually breaks in over time, and looks better than traditional seat leather.

The trim is the difference. Mainly in the seats. They use saddle leather for the seats. The leather looks like a ball glove leather. These are the most expensive seats that Ford puts in the cars.

I have the King Ranch F-150, really love it.

basically it's the added cost of the processing of that real cow leather by the King ranch people in Texas that's needed for the licensing agreement Ford has with them.

other than staining easier than normal leather seats.. they wear a lot better than most leather seats and fell better in the saddle too :-) on a long ride. but you are limited to one color seat

It's a loaded vehical with leather and of course the name brand. The price is to make it look better. On the technical end, you are right it isn't much better than a preloaded vehical, but that's like a $40,000 car and a $200,000 car that can both go 200 mph. The upper middle class and the rich would probably always buy the $200,000 car just to brag that they own a $200,000 car.
