Start with something you both have in common. Say if your both alone in a detention class or a libary start with something he is reading or just anything. If you start a conversation about something you dont know, admit you dont know anything about it, its better then trying to wing it.

Once you have opened with something like that dont lose momentum. If he answers with a one word answer or something try and use a few probes to get more out of him (by probes i mean things like, "so why do you like that book" or "so what made you come to this school" Anything that will make him more likely to open up.

Dont be embarresed, he has his weaknesses as well you just arnt aware of them yet

oh well this one worked for me:

so i met him, and we chatted in person, we talked about EVERYTHING you can possibly imagine...like wheres hes from, what sports he plays, what music he listens to, etc. (and he asked me back, showing a sign of interest). then, he asked for my phone number, and so i got his too, then we started to text, and they would be short and simple like, "waddup?" or "how was your day? =]" or something funny like one he sent me, "watchu doin besides messin up on golf?" and then we called each other up, and talked on the phone about everything as well...we became great friends, and then over time it just became something more than that, and we both knew it...and at that point, because we knew we were both very ready to go to the next level, we connected.

so i guess you should just start a conversation about what hes wearing, or ask him what sports he plays, where his familys from, what hes doing this summer, and it will all fall into place. =]

hope this helps and good luck to you!!!!

I've heard that "hello" is a popular way to start one in public. iif you are in private, you could ask if the other person if they would like a soft drink (never alcohol) and some refreshments? those are good ice breakers.

make some funny comment and ask him about something he is wearing.. If the guy is interesting enough he ll carry the conversation.. If he is dumb enough to talk be straightforward and show your s*xual interest ;-)

people love talking about themselves, so ask him what his hobbies or interest in life are?, or what does he do in his spare time?. Then you'll find the conversation will just go from there.

Ask him something about himself. As you learn more, keep him talking about himself.
