Congratulations to you!
A J: I think that the mindless attempt to simply destroy someone's faith without even pretending to offer something better is possibly one of the fastest roads to hell that I can think of.

Congratulations! It's nice to see how much you appreciated your baptism. I was baptized in August of 1984 by my father. I was 8 years old. My wife was baptized when she was 14. We have fond memories of our baptisms. We also both served full-time missions. We were both married in the Temple (to each other, of course), and now have three lovely children born in the Covenant. We love being members of the Church and love the idea that our family can be together forever. That is the type of family that we want -- Eternal. That is something to look forward to. Again, congratulations on your baptism, and keep going down that straight and narrow path of happiness that leads to Eternal Life. Please count on me if you have any questions about the Church, Doctrine, or my experiences.

My father baptized me on June 30, 1984. I was going to be baptized on the 2nd but I caught chickenpox from my older brother.
Both sets of grandparents were there as were most of my cousins. I got my first copy of the Book of Mormon (before that I had to share with a younger brother).
One of the coolest baptisms I witnessed was on my mission. A white dove had found its way into the Relief Society Room. lol.

Congrats. I was baptized 42 years ago, in Plainview New York, on June 5, 1965 and confirmed the next day. I was a skinny 8 year-old. The water heater in the font was broken so the water was FREEZING! My dad baptized me and my whole family was there.
My husband was baptized 33 years ago. He was Catholic when we met. (They are still Catholic.) He had to wait until he was 18 and his parents kicked him out of the house for a week. He slept on my family's couch - I was dating someone else at the time so it was a bit awkward! We have been married 29 years (as of Aug. 1st) in the Oakland Temple. His family didn't like that we were married in the Temple but we knew that was the right place.
We have one son who served in the Utah Ogden Mission, one son that will be home in early October from the Canada Montreal Mission (HOORAY! CAN'T WAIT). My husband served in the France Paris Mission. Our son-in-law was in Orlando Florida mission. (Our oldest son is totally inactive.)
That's my story! I have always been a member and always will be.

My baptism
Who: Elder Lewis baptized me and my parents and sister (my brother was born the following year)
Where: Manhattan, NY, where the New York Temple now stands
When: October 23rd, 1982
Why: Elders challenged me (the last one to decide) to pray about what they taught me, especially the Book of Mormon. I got a pretty immediate answer. Best, most pivotal decision of my life. Without it, I'm sure it would be in a very different direction.
Felicidades.

Congrats!
I was baptized 5 days after my 8th birthday by my father. Nothing spectacular, but it was pretty cool having my Daddy confer me as a member of the church and give me the gift of the Holy Ghost! I think about it now and it is much more special than it was nearly 32 years ago.

I was baptized in 1984. Bishop Jaime from 5th ward in San Antonio, Texas baptized me.
It was a great experience, nervous and scared. I believe water was cold. I think back then they didn't have child size garments or may be I was just too skinny. Who knows but it was all good.

My father baptized me in February 1977. I remember the water being warm and feeling happy and nervous at the same time. Each child was presented with a Bible of their own, which I still have.

Congratulations on your fifth anniversary of your baptism!
One of the missionary elders had baptized and confirmed me a member of the Church on 18 September 1965, in the Fayetteville ward of North Carolina. Now, I understand there are three or four wards in Fayetteville. (I left North Carolina for Arizona in 1984 and haven't been back.)
I'm thrilled that you commemorate your baptism date because that serves as a reminder to obey the commandments and honor the covenants you made to Jesus Christ.

Congrats! I celebrate mine yearly. On June 7th. I've been a member for 15 years.
A ward member who was about to go on his mission baptized me. I don't recall his name now, but it's written down somewhere.
I'll have to share my conversion story later. I need to get back to work.
