I'm a young male, and I have been getting weird stomach pains in the third day in a row now...let me describe them

About every minute, it feels like my stomach just tightens up almost, or as if someone is punching me in my stomach. The pain is there for about 10 seconds, then goes away and comes back a minute later. This is the third day it's happening. It's about where the ribs start to seperate and the top of the muscles.

are you under a lot of stress? try reducing stress in your life, anti-acids and changing your diet a little (just for a week or so) - no red meat, no acidic pasta sauce or salsa or spicy anything - and see if that helps.

Also, are you taking a lot of tylenol? If so, quit! It pokes little ulcers in your stomach after awhile if you abuse it. Switch to Ibuprofen, it goes thru your kidneys (as opposed to liver like tylenol) and is easier on your stomach.

If none of that works, make an appt with your doctor. Also if it gets really bad, and you know something's wrong- go to ER immediatley, you don't wanna wait if it could be appendicitis or something!!

And on that note, call up your local pharmacist or if you know of a local nurseline (try 1-866-215-4700) and ask them about it. they are gonna refer you to your doctor but they may have a clue as to what's going on that you may be able to manage on your own.

It might be acid indigestion. The place you describe is near the top of the stomach (your lower belly is full of intestines). I've had that feeling many times after eating a large meal of especially spicy food. A sip of water helps for a few seconds and then it comes back.

Try some Tums or Alka Selzer, or something like that, and see if that helps. If not, you should probably see a doctor to find out what it is.

Honey- go see a doctor now.
No one on here (even if they were a doc) can tell you whats wrong without examining you. It could be serious so see a doc today.
