My boyfriend says he has always wanted a son and so have I. However, I don't mind if we have a daughter just as long as our child(ren) is healthy. He on the other hand seems to be pushing towards "I wanna son" and says it doesn't matter, but I think it would.
I want 4 children, he wants 2 boy/girl, but he says if we have 21 girls and a bus...with no boys we would still be trying for a son. So, is he satisfied really with whatever God gives us or is he just saying he is to make me calm?
* We aren't pregnant just ironing out situations before we tie the knot.

i can say that he really doesnt care if its a boy or girl, just as long as its healthy, but he wants a boy so 1) he can carry on the family legacy/name, and 2) so he can do father son bonding stuff like you would want to do with your daughter. he wants to share stuff with a son that he couldnt with a daughter, and do stuff with him, that he couldnt do with a daughter. but as long as the baby is healthy, he will love it till the end of time.

Your boyfriend is selfish. That is very common, unfortunately. The good news is that the sex of the baby does not depend on the mother, only the father "Y" chromosome. If you only want four, speak loud and clear with him before the joy of children begins. Reach to an agreement, and make him understand. If he just simply can't, analyze whether or not you can actually live with that situation or not. If so, then you will have to endure it, if not, you will have to break it up, and move on to find someone less selfish who is just greatful to have children and pray for healthy ones.

Tell your husband that you don't care what the gender is as long as it's healthy. Tell him that you want 4 kids and only four. Tell him that if none of them are boys, it doesn't matter. All that matters is that the kid is healthy and that you love 'em. If he says "I still want a son" try to find a woman that's giving up a son (that's already in her stomach) and you two can adopt.

He sounds like he's a little too obsessed with the gender. What, the first child is a girl and you have to hope he is happy enough? I'd really hammer this issue out before you get married. Many of my friends are now getting divorced, possibly because they didn't handle all the tough issues before they tied the knot. Good luck to you.

Seems like he is set on having a son so the family name can go on. But you never can tell what happens if you have 21 sons and no daughters? Would you want to have more until you have a daughter. Put yourself in his position and see how it feels to want something so bad, and then you will know th eanswer of your question.

If he wants a boy and u want a girl just pray or try 4 2 children boy and girl. dont be his slave.

Most men want a boy child for two reasons. One, the boy will carry on his name and two it will be easy for him to see himself in the boy ('chip off the old block'). I wouldn't worry about it or get upset when he talks about it. Just humor him.

He is selfish. What you need is a selfLESS man to have children with.
The bad news is you cannot change him. Only he can change himself. He needs to realize on his own that nothing will ever make him happy without finding his humility.

its totally normal. any man is gonna want a son. but they will be satisfied no matter what is the outcome.

when you finally do have a child and when he holds that little baby in his hands he will won't care what the gender of the kid is and he will realize that he will love it just as much
